To be honest I wouldn't mind the Cardinals drafting Simms in the third round of course depending who is still there. It would be a pick similar to the Dennis Johnson pick last year. You get a very decent player who will need a year of two to adjust at a position of need.

That being said, if they were to take Simms in the second round I might burn my Cardinals hat...and then have to buy a new one once training camp starts. I'll admit it, some of the Cardinals moves make me crazy, then about two months later I come to my senses. Pure homerism.

I wasn't advocating this. I was mearling pointing out a fact. Mac needs to be more sucessful next year. Selecting a QB in the first round will not help his cause next year. Mac has a BIG say in who is drafted. Put it all together I and think Mac will want to draft an imediate impact player in the first round. It's not rocket science.
