Your mirroring my message. I pride myself in telling the truth, or as I see it. If, if, Kobe resigns with the Lakers(is that better?), will you still be on the Kobe bandwagon?

The color of the uniform effects everything. Kobe in a Laker uniform is evil. Kobe in a Suns uniform?

I don't like Kobe, currently since he is not on the Suns I will not root for him or the Fakers. If and only if he has a Suns uni on will I root for him. IMO IF Kobe does sign with the Suns he will not be the only piece to take us to the Finals.

Put it this way chaplin.. Your sig says Kobe will not be a Clipper. I doubt he will be a Sun, Nugget, or be a mascot for a Jewish farm team in Idaho either. Kobe will resign with the Lakers. If Kobe signs here you will be the 1st person I apologize to.

Again, THAT IS NOT THE POINT! Our discussion was about what Kobe would bring or would not bring to the Phoenix Suns. This discussion was NOT about whether he would sign here or not--there are plenty of other threads on this board about that.

I find it pretty funny that you had to switch the discussion to that after you couldn't come up with anything else in the original argument.

I think basically some posters on this board are trying to avoid rejection.

Bryant is unlikely to come to the Suns, so rather than feel like they got turned down, these posters are saying, "Well, I didn't want him anyway." It's like when you see a fabulous woman walking on the beach and immediately think, "She's probably a ****** airhead with a drug habit." You can't have her, so rather than deal with the rejection, you play the "sour grapes" card in advance.

Bryant is a terrific player and is a huge asset for whatever team he plays on. If he doesn't come to the Suns, that will be too bad. I won't personally feel rejected, since I don't personify my relationship with sports that much, but I will definitely be disappointed -- even though I agree that it's very unlikely he'll leave the Lakers.
