Palmer only attempted 24 passes. If your QB is getting hit on 25% of his attempts, that's not great.
Just to put that in perspective, Andrew Luck attempted 616 passes last year and was hit 91 times (most in football). That's 15% of his dropbacks. Luck tends to hold the ball, though.
Top Brady dropped back 582 times last year and was hit 61 times (11%).
The o-line has given up a total of 0 sacks and 7 qb hits. That combo is second best in the league. Only the Jets are better with 0 sacks and 4 hits but they have only played 1 game.
The Cardinals are 4th in the league in total QB hits with 7, only Dallas (5), GB (6), and Pitt (5), are better and not by much.
The Cardinals have 7 hits on the QB in 56 pass attempts for 12.5%. Given the quality of the defenses the Cardinals have faced so far, its not bragging material, but it is not horrible by any stretch.
I think the issue is that every one of us cringe when Palmer gets touched because of his injury history, so it seems like more.
Oh. And for the record. NFL.com com has NE with 609 oass attempts last year and getting hit 82 times for 13.5%. Maybe your numbers only counted Brady's attempts. The Cowboys did have an 11% number, but they were probably the best o-line in the league last year. The Broncos had the lowest percentage at around 7% but that is likely due to Manning's incredibly quick release.
