Love would want to sign with the Suns for the Suns to do a sign and trade for him.

Woj reported last year that Love wasn't interested in signing with the Suns after the good '13-14 season we had so I can't see why Love would want to now sign with the Suns after the turmoil season we just had.

Plus he can go "home" by signing with the Lakers who have the assets to land Love or many other teams that are closer to contention than PHX.

Sorry, Love grew up and went to high school in Oregon, going home would require a deal with the Blazers
(So what if he was born in CA)

Except he himself has referred to going "home" as going to the Lakers. I think the man himself knows where home to him is more than anyone else.

I know lots of people who left for college in another state but I have never heard any of them call those places home?!? Dumb debate but at any rate doesn't sound like he has interest in the Suns if the past is any indication.

Yup. Sorry for the thread. If we can't convince him to come as a FA, we can't get him in a s&t. We can try.

Gambo says they are going all out for Alderidge.

Love officially opts out. I thought he might go one more year and really cash in next year.

Oh, and Off-topic. Please, please, Kelly Olynyk, get a hair cut. Some guys can sport the long locks. You look like a girl. An ugly girl.

Cleveland remains the frontrunner to sign Love to a five-year, $100M-plus extension, but Love could be willing to hear out Celtics, Lakers.

would be great if that happened, but I see no reason he'd leave 30 million on the table to leave a playoff team to come to this mess of a team right now.

But with a name like Kelly no one should get confused.

Yup. Its like Mr. and Mrs. Lopez naming their big strapping babies Robin and Brook. Those are cheerleader names.

Then there is Justise which looks like it should be pronounce "Just eese".

In a van...down by the river.
It's fun to talk about, but premiere FA isn't going to get the Suns out of mediocrity at this point. This isn't a desired destination for stars anymore. The Suns are going to have to build a foundation using old fashioned *******s and elbows.

I'm sure PHX will show serious interest but how interested is Love is the real question.

Not very unless he was really impressed by the Suns last season which I can't imagine he was with all the drama.

This, along with the front office building a player-friendly reputation. The Dragic situation is going to linger for some time, IMO.

I honestly don't think it has any effect at all. Players follow the money and/or where they think they can compete. There are front offices with far uglier marks on them than ours and you don't hear any frets about players holding things against them.

I say yes and no about money. Love opted out, CLE can pay him the most money but he is interested in LA & BOS which are big markets, LA he considers home so there's that. Of course if he ends up re-signing in CLE we know money and winning trump drama.

I don't even think the Suns are on LMA's wish list.

Just proves the point:
HOF coach + class front office + perennial title contender = Prime FA destination.

Sad but true for the Suns. However, the Suns have a good medical staff to keep him healthy. Still, why choose the Suns unless they can pay him more money which may not be a motivator.
