This is really interesting...
What are the chances that Philly doesn't take Fox though?

IMO it rides on what the Lakers do. If the Lakers take Jackson then Philly takes Ball, if the Lakers take Ball then Philly probably takes Fox.

Easily philly could if you look at their roster - they'd almost be stupid to draft Jackson...they need a guard in the worst possible way.

They would be stupid to pass on Jackson if THEY consider him the BPA over Fox. While Fox fills a perceived need, you don't pass on the BPA. The argument obviously is who is the BPA between Fox and Jackson? As much as I like Jackson I think the educated populous would put it at about 50/50.

I think Philly would be better served trying to peel away the two top 10 picks from Sac for Fox. They could still land possibly Monk and Smith. That would ease a bit of concern there.

Which is exactly why they'd choose fox..

Yeah, it would really be a tragedy if a rookie who can actually play were to take time away from Bender.
It actually would. The less time Bender sees the longer it will take for him to develop. It's all about trial and error and then learning from your mistakes to get better. He won't get that as quickly as he could if we bring someone in that takes his minutes.

There's plenty of time between the 3,4, and 5 spots for Isaac, Bender, and Chriss especially if we lose Len/Big Sauce to FA.

Who was playing center this year for the Final 4 teams in the Conference Finals?

Adding a rookie C or PF isn't a bad thing. Sure it would take some minutes from Chriss and Bender but it also may cause them to step up in practice and in games to earn their minutes rather than being granted them by default, like how Chriss was gifted the starting PF spot last year. If we were talking about adding a veteran at C or PF then I'd have a problem with it but not with drafting a unknown youngster.

If Tatum is our guy, the perfect scenario would be drafting Fox with #4 then trading him and next year's Miami pick (top 5 protected) to Sacramento for #5 and #10 (I don't think Sac trades #5 and #10 for #4 and #32). Draft Isaac with #5 then trade him to Orlando for #6 and another asset. Pick Tatum at #6 and Collins at #10. Then promptly give McDonough an extension.

The Kings own #5 and #10 but I think I know what you are saying.

@Folster

We may have to hire you as the Suns GM for thinking about it. Brilliant idea. :)

Gambo is reporting the Suns have narrowed their focus to Jackson, Tatum, Isaac, and Fox and they don't see a huge difference in talent between the 4. He is stressing that Fox is under serious consideration.

I'm betting the Suns are floating this info to Gambo to put pressure on Sac and Orlando to increase potential trade up options.

If the top 3 go as expected, I think Tatum is our guy, but we have a good idea that Sac wants Fox and Orlando wants Isaac. Why not pick up extra assets if were certain we will still get our guy?

What if they call our bluff?

I'm intrigued by Isaac and want to learn more about him. I believe that Tatum can be an elite scorer but I do have concerns about his glaring defensive lapses.

My only concern about Tatum, albeit from watching highlights is his lack of explosiveness. He seems smooth and quick enough, but I was underwhelmed by his leaping off of one foot. It seems like he barely cleared the rim on many of his drive and dunks.

It's strange to see with players being so explosive nowadays, but it may point to some longevity in the league if he can be effective as he would not be overly reliant on athleticism that would eventually fade.

I am going to say it is the #5 and #10 for the #4 and Miami's 2018 pick. I thought we were on the Tatum train but it really seems like Isaac is the guy right now
