Not to be one of those "glass half full" people, but outrebounding the Kings is nothing to sneeze at.

We were the 2nd worst team in terms of assists in 2013/2014. We have improved some this year but we are still bad. Not sure how this is a surprise, we lack spacing, off the ball movement and shooting.

24% from 3 and 65% from the line. If we shoot 38% 3s and 75% FTs we win easy.

Sometimes I miss DA's offense. There was always spacing on the floor and players that could shoot.

That's no surprise. It was arguably the most entertaining offense ever as long as Nash was healthy and on the floor. It had a few shortcomings when it was forced into half court play but all told it was a very effective offense. Great offense but no defense. If you have a great offense you don't need a great defense to win it all but you do need to be able to get stops at critical points in the game. And to be fair, that team had far more talent than this team. It isn't just the spacing.

What you really miss is Steve Nash. He was that offense. When D'Antoni was deprived of him the spacing was bad, guys couldn't shoot... and they also still couldn't defend or rebound.

It's true. Did that offense ever work here or anywhere without Nash?

I didn't see the game, but I have a hard time buying the argument that Bledsoe having only one assist is everyone else's fault. You would think he could have led two or three breaks or something.

The Kings actually have some potential and some firepower that was on display last night. We simply have no one that can stop Cousins. Archie Goodwin was a real bright spot for us last night. But overall, the game was just another example of how young and inexperienced our team is right now, and how we need to add some pieces as we continue to develop our youngsters.

As I mentioned, Bledsoe was playing with a "stomach bug". But his teammates do have a lot to do with his poor assist numbers even when things are going well. Just like they did with Goran last season. Markieff, Marcus and Green usually take a dribble or two before they end up settling for the shot they were already set up for. The only ones on this team that log consistent minutes with the starting point guard that routinely turn passes into assists are Tucker, Len and Wright. When that trio shoots 5 for 23, your assist numbers are going to suffer.

I don't miss his offense that led to no defense. I miss Nash's wizardry on the floor. You never knew if he was going to drive on you, pull up for a 3 or thread the needle with a pass for a dunk or out to a 3 point shooter. I get what your saying about space though.

Wow we had a chance there to gain ground. But if we don't win these games then we don't deserve to be in the playoffs.

I mean we blew a ton of games this season. We could be right in the mix. Team is just too inconsistent.

We aren't one of the 8 best teams in the west so missing the playoffs isn't a big deal to me. If Len had been healthy all season maybe it would have been different. But if the OKC stars, Davis and Cousins had been healthy all season we'd still probably finish 11th even with a full team. We need to upgrade our roster in addition to developing the talent we already have.

Right on, Catlover. Let's start talking about the draft. Hey by the way, is that NCAA thing still going on? That might be something to watch.

Yes it is. My husband and I are watching UCLA/Gonzaga and arguing over the merits of Kevin Looney right now. Gonzaga has some power forward/center talent too although none I'd like to see with our first pick.

Do you and your husband have a lot of Looney arguments?

Ha! Yes we do. We argued for several years over pizza sizes. He maintained that 16 inch pizzas and larger tasted better than the smaller pizzas. He got that one right but I'd still rather gamble on Kevin Looney than on Myles Turner.
