Uh, we missed plenty shots. All I hear on here is what a transcendent rebounder he is. Go getting a couple offensive rebounds. Do some freaking thing to help your team. Good lord - and this isn’t directed solely at you - but the endless supply of excuses made for him is just maddening. I understand how the anti-kylers felt preseason.

Kind of hard when the GM is on the radio that very afternoon saying he SHOULDN'T be told to just go get rebounds and that in his wisdom at the ripe old age of 20 he should be left to decide for himself on every play whether to crash the boards or do something else.

James Jones is a BIG part of the problem, more so than Igor last year.

Here’s the reason we lost. No damn bench.
Yeah our bench leaves a ton to be desired. All the talk at the beginning of the year about us finally having depth was an illusion. This team just sucks.

I'm not making excuses for his piss poor aggression that needs to change but he definitely wasn't the biggest reason they lost this game. All my posts that defend ayton are always stating the fact that atleast 5 other players on the team are out there doing absolutely nothing but ayton always gets the blunt of the criticism

And all but Okobo and defensive specialist Bridges were James Jones acquisitions, including spending a Top 10 pick, a future first round pick and our second leading scorer.

Looked to me like he ran out of gas in the fourth. Unfortunately he’s still in early season conditioning while the rest of the league is in full swing. He has to be better.

there's no excuse for this. He wasn't out 25 games because of injury and had to get back in shape. He was out 25 games BECAUSE HE WAS AN IDIOT WHO GOT BUSTED FOR DRUGS. He should have been working out like a madman to get himself in the best shape of his life.

4 points, no rebounds in the 4th quarter is pathetic any way you slice it.

Suns need more talent.

Suns bench had 18 points. Kings bench had 42 points.
For the most part bench players have to want to come here. That's the problem right now. I'm going to WhatsApp Alex Meruelo and see if he wants to buy the Suns as well, he seems to have wiped the stink out of the Coyotes.

I know from my perspective it’s because he has to eventually become the best or second best player on this team for us to ever elevate. And each game that passes we see no steps forward. I mean are we pinning our hopes on cam freaking Johnson or Ricky Rubio to become a stud and carry us? No. It ha to be Ayton. And each no step he takes is further evidence that it’s not likely to happen. Maybe his ability will suddenly take a hockey stick like turn in trajectory. But right now it’s plateaued. And it’s been that way since his first game.

that's what happens when you're the number 1 pick in a loaded draft. that's supposed to be a guy you can build an entire team around. he's going to shoulder more blame because he's supposed to be able to shoulder the load.

It would help if he wasn't getting conflicting messages from his coach and his GM...

And he’s freaking in his early 20s and hAs already played 7 games. How many more are we going to give the big baby to get his arse into shape??? More excuses.

Wish something like this would happen. Selling the franchise has been the answer for a long time.

Well he IS basically playing two positions at once (if not 4 or 5), since we don't have another inside player.

It’s really amazing. I don’t think I could’ve ever guessed how bad the suns could get just due to a terrible owner.

I'm not disagreeing with the fact he needs to become the primary guy for this team to move forward, his offense hasn't seen any improvement but his defense has been better then last year atleast, but you look at a game like this were the bench scored that little and allowed the king's to erase the 21 point lead, no team in the NBA is going to win much if they only have 2 or three players that are actually competent on offense. This game was lost by the bench period. And several losses before this have been as well.

Wow pretty crappy fourth quarter. Ayton was almost useless. Booker got a lucky bank then missed and was not clutch at all after that.

Do you notice how other teams play tight D especially when someone picks up their dribble, yet we let them stand there with no pressure while being 5 feet away.

I’m still not liking the lineups and substitution patterns. Players got to be confused and there’s definitely no chemistry between any of the units right now. Booker will get his but anyone else will need to rely on touches and team chemistry. You would think by now coach has at least that part somewhat figured out despite the suspension and injuries. They all can’t be at such an even level in play that it’s hard to figure out who to give minutes to right now.

Stupid fouls all game and every game are expected by Booker and Baynes.

It's a long way down for sure and no upswing in sight.

I cannot understand why any Suns fan would stand up for the status of
the Suns at this time, especially after a decade of continuous failure.

And the constant turnover of General Managers and Head Coaches who
obviously haven't had what it takes to bring about progress.

Or not be concerned about what the reaction of our star players will be.
Who can't see that coming?

Fans aren't supposed to be apologists. Professional sports is not a necessity.
It exists to uplift our spirits. Take our minds off the frustrations of everyday
life. And unite a community.

In that regard, the Suns are losers. How do we know? Because they are still
losing. The Suns, starting at the top, have not earned our support.

I believe that our best poster, AzStevenCal, dropped off because the Suns
have become all stress and no pleasure. And the rest of us have been forced
into the roll of masochists. :thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown

Ayton had, what, 2-4 points in the fourth quarter and zero rebounds. He helped lose this game. They had a lead going into the fourth.

I respectfully disagree there. I’m not saying it to give him excuses but there is only one way to get into basketball shape, and that is to play real basketball, which he hasn’t done much of. The rest of the league is in midseason form. Doesn’t matter how much you work out. We just saw that with Patrick Peterson. I don’t doubt he worked out hard but he wasn’t playing real games. He was definitely behind the eight ball. Call him what you want, I don’t disagree, but you can’t expect him to be on the same level right now conditioning wise as a majority of the league.
