Naaa.. BC is a fan with legitimate complaints. He doesn’t make stuff up to further his own agenda.
Thank you. And, as I posted previously, the same holds true for 1Sun.

Our problem has been that, whenever we see a conflicting post to a valid point,
we repeat our opinion. And, man, it's been going on for a decade, with no hope
in sight.

The ol' "shoot the messengers who bring the bad news". While we yearn for
good news. And some sign of progress.

Any word from the post-game presser? What I would give to be a fly on the wall when Monty first talks about tonight's debacle...

Did anyone watch the postgame press conference? I immediately turned off the television after the game.

You and 1Sun are nothing alike. There is a difference between frustrated negative takes and negative takes whose sole agenda is to frustrate.

The only one with an agenda here is you. How dare you try to tell the rest of the board what MY intentions are?

Chris, I turn to you to enforce your policy re "Calling People Trolls".

Hmmm. Frustrated negative takes? Or frustrated takes to negative performances?

If they were bitchen, I wouldn't be bitchin'. :)

Believe me, in my life, I enjoy looking for the best.

I've made management presentations over the decades
about setting your sights high and hoping for the best.

The sentence just flowed better and sounded cooler the way I worded it... ha.

I'm guessing the players aren't too in love with the process right about now.

They need to stick together and look in the mirror...no excuses, just execution, execution.

It seems the Suns (and many fans) get so full of themselves...they win a game, a couple games, a half, and all of a sudden the Suns are world beaters. They lose focus and the spiral begins. Rinse and repeat.

Watched the game and I’m speechless. Just totally dumbfounded. This is still not a good team - we all get that.
But, they are good enough that getting up by 21 points in the 3rd quarter should produce a win against a depleted and bad Kings team!
To only score 16 points in the final quarter? Classic choke performance. No other way to say it.
My take:
Ayton is surprisingly out of shape. He gets gassed after playing just a few mins each time he’s in the game. When he’s fresh, my God he looks good. But it doesn’t take long for him to begin to slow down and look (and play) like he’s exhausted. This is a serious problem...
Rubio is simply a massive liability on offense. Ok, he can distribute - most of the time. But lately he hasn’t even been doing that as efficiently as the team needs him to. And don’t get me started on his shooting... Honestly, I really don’t see him as an integral part of this team. And I’m “this” close to seeing him as a serious liability and key contributor to the poor performances we’ve seen lately.
Oubre seems out of sync... Not sure why, however, it seems like it’s more when Ayton is on the floor - which could simply be that he, like the rest, are still trying to get used to Ayton on the court.
Baynes... I disagree with anyone who claims he’s not “trying” hard... That’s just stupid talk. The issue is that he has limited abilities. He may think he’s a 3 point shooter, but he’s not...He might even see himself as a starter, but he’s not...
He’s a great asset to come off the bench and play no more than 15-18 mins a game.
Booker is a stud... period. Any talk of him being a problem is again, just stupid talk.

This is a bad team filled with a collection of players who, while offer improvement over previous seasons, remain on the fridge of being legit NBA caliber.
Okobo? He may not even be in the league next season.
Tyler Johnson? Ugh....
Bridges? A miss. Extremely limited with zero ability on offense.
Saric? Should see very, VERY few mins in any game.
Cam? He’s fading... He’s a rookie so I’m willing to give him next year to see if there is any meaningful development. But right now it’s not looking good...

At this point, I would give Diallo more of Baynes’ mins.
Monty is a very good coach. But he’s been given a butter knife and dropped into a massive gun fight.
The players, especially Booker, Ayton and Oubre - need to somehow rally themselves and the rest of the team to higher levels of play. They need to grit and gut the team to wins, period. They need to Want it far more than what we’ve seen thus far - especially Ayton.
Kicking a chair ain’t gonna cut it. It doesn’t matter that he’s not in shape... He’s got to dig deeper and GRIND!

Ayton...even last season he was getting gassed while playing a season without a suspension. It might just be a lack of physical/cardio capacity he has that will always limit him. I remember last year, he'd be sweating more than anyone else while huffing and puffing away while someone would be shooting free throws.

I don't want to say Monty is losing the team but man....a 52-20 run in the last 16 minutes??? That sure is a bad omen if you believe he is losing the team. There was no sense of urgency or fight from the entire team. Also, Monty didn't put Booker in during a crucial stretch. Not sure if he was trying to get the rest of the team to step up verses relying on Book but what the hell?

That ending to the game might be the worst I have seen in some time. If this team is to show any progress this stretch of the next 15 games or so is going to define them.

Regarding Booker, I think Monty was hoping he wouldn't need Book to save the team...in hindsight, I think he would go back and re-insert Book back into the game much sooner.

Perhaps the story of the game is the Kings bench clobbered the Suns bench. There is not much talent on the Suns bench.

From a Duane Rankin article at azcentral:

“This is our hard right now, the ability to get to a level and keep it there. Their bench came in and did a job on us. That is on me to get our guys to a point where we can sustain momentum for 48 minutes. We just didn’t do it well tonight.” -- Suns coach Monty Williams.

We basically played an entire line-up of back-ups! The top 3 stars for the Kings we're all out! What happened last night is the equivalent of the Suns going to Sac-Town, without Ayton, Booker & Oubre, getting down 21 points in the 3rd quarter and producing a come-back to win... not by 1 or 2 points, but by 11!!!!
Sickening...

A team needs backup players. Ours didn't produce. However, I'm not fond of the rotations.

It's true that they're not feeding Ayton enough. He's the ONE that needs to be getting 30! He can hit at the highest %% with consistency. Rubio and whoever needs to ensure he's getting 20 or so shots.

If you can't then maybe he should run with the 2nd team, because he's not being implemented the way he can be.
