Thanks for catching that. That is one voice misrecognition I will not tolerate!

Kobe isn't going anywhere. As a Lakerfan, I am pretty confident of that. The Lakers don't lose players they want to keep, ever, and Buss has made it clear that Kobe is the centerpiece.

Kobe has the power right now, the type of power Shaq usually weilds. He'll use it, and resign with the Lakers with probably some changes that he wants to have happen..maybe a S&T with Fisher for some young, fast floorrunner or rebounder. Who knows? But he isn't leaving the Lakers.

If he did come to Phoenix, that would be cool for me because I'd get to see his brilliance on display from time to time, but I do not see the Lakers allowing him to leave. Buss will do whatever it takes to ensure he stays.

What? Kobe has never been a centerpiece of the Lakers, and he still isn't. You took a single conversation centering mostly on Kobe's status and took that as Kobe being the "centerpiece"? The centerpiece will always be Shaq as long as he's with the team. Always.

That is a really interesting comment. You should start a thread with it. There have been several people who have suggested that Shaq's remaining years of effectiveness are limited so future championships in LA are doubtful.

I honestly don't have an opinion on that. If Shaq's effectivenss declines, can he still be an effective player? Chamberlin changed his style of play to accomodate West and Baylor, Kareem played backseat to Magic and Worthy, Moses changed his game to play with Dr. J, to name a few examples. Shaq would not have to be all universe to help a team win a championship.
