We had BETTER have a new starting QB in the next 48 hours (not necessarily Kolb), or we are utterly screwed.

It doesnt matter if its Kolb or Orton.. They wont be able to prcatice until Aug 4th anyways.. Under the new CBA if they redo their contracts thats the rule..

I honestly don't see Kolb solving the QB problem long term so I'm perfectly fine going after a less attractive option. I'm really wary of spending top dollar for an Andy Reid QB.

I'd trade a conditional pick for Kolb and nothing else, anywhere 1st-3rd depending on performance.

Me either. Neither Kolb or Orton are long term answers and they wil possibly lose DRC in the process as well. Roll the dice with Skelton and pick up a veteran to back him up. Get the QBOF next offseason.

Playing a game of chicken right now. Cards need a qb and their options are starting to diminish. Eagles need to move Kolb and their options are diminishing. Too bad BOTH teams might hit a point where there is no other option. Then it will just be which team has the most to lose. That would probably be the Cardinals. Its worse to be without a starting qb, than it is to have an extra one.

the next 48 hours? so... when no one is left and we're up against it?

stupid. this team should make a drop dead date of today or go get Orton at this point. i fear they're letting the eagles drag them along until the market it completely dry and then they'll have us completely over a barrel.

This could all be contractual issues Cheesy. Trade may already be done? It is possible.

it IS possible... but it shouldn't take 48 hours to negotiate a contract in this climate Shane.

If indeed we're giving up DRC, that had better be it. In fact, I'd want Kolb and something else. Another player or a pick.

No way DRC straight up is more than fair.

this is a much different year and you know that. unfortunately, this year, 1 day is basically the equivalency of a freaking week. expediency is the name of the game this year and to pretend otherwise is completely naive.

I agree with you on a FA..However Kolb isnt. If the trade is a "done deal" there is no need to expedite the signing. Take the extra day and get it right. No need to rush.

you make a huge assumption that the trade is a done deal. the idea that there's no need to rush makes zero sense to me. what if they can't strike a deal with Kolb and then in 48 hours, there's literally NO ONE left at QB?
