The OL is bad but a good QB still has to make plays. He missed a crucial wide open Robrts for a 1st down on the least series and his throws are terrible. The Cards OL has turned him into David Carr. The guy is playing scared to death back there. I hope I'm wrong but he's looking at the pass rush instead of downfield and that's playing scared. I had high hopes but he's done.

You would think after the 1st sack they would have chipped Suggs or put a back on him.

I agree that he is pretty much done for this season. However, I do believe that he is a good QB...not great...just good. If, the Cards can get him a better O-line next season, a solid #2 WR, and he has had a full season to grasp the offense, he should improve.

The only QB capable of looking good behind an O-line this bad would be a hall of fame type guy. Kolb is not going to be that, so you have to protect him. And that is just not happening.

The opposing defense could rush no one and I guarantee Kolb would still retreat about 8 yards immediately.

I desperately want to see something in this guy but I just don't. I know our OL is poor at pass blocking but when I watch Kolb I do not see a leader or a winner.

Hope I am wrong.

I've never seen anything like it. This is the worst OL i've seen in a long time. We completely leave guys unblocked at times. All pros guys even.

When we got the ball back in a tie game with over two minutes left, I never legitimately thought we had a chance to win. I guess my faith in Kolb is also shot already.

Even if Kolb had time I don't think he could make the throws consistently. For every good throw he makes he throws a terrible one. He's 49-97 over the last 3 games. 50.5%! That's DeWreck Anderson territory.

One day we will quit throwing away QB's and look at the real problem the COACH! I mean how many does it take to realize our coach is terrible with qb's!

I think he is terrible at evaluating them, not nessessarily using them.

Kolb and Anderson are predictably crappy QBs, they should never have been brought in to begin with.

He's not the wreck, man. His accuracy is better, and he actually shows more courage than 'Wreck'. What he's lacking is pocket presence and poise. That'll come with more reps, and he's going to get a lot of them.

He's not getting better he's getting worse. 58.8% Giants, 50.0% Vikings, 52.9% Steelers, 47.6%, Ravens. Like I said that's DeWreck Anderson territory.

It's time to say goodbye to Kolb. It's pretty clear that he will never be a great QB. At best he might become average. That is not good enough. Skelton has way more upside than Kolb does. Whis has to be fired and Kolb has to be let go with him. This team will never be a winner with them as our QB and Coach. We need to see Skelton for the rest of the season to see if he can be the QB of the future. If not we know we have to draft Luck. The one thing this team can not do is let Kolb finish the season. If he even starts game 8 it will be a huge mistake. Skelton will need the next eight games to show what he can do.

Agreed ! But I dont just blame the line. He is playing right up to his career stats, this is who he is. Just like DA he is not very good.

There's no doubt he's getting statistically worse, but if you've ever played competitive anything, you know that most often you actually appear or seem to get worse before having some kind of breakthrough. I'm not that worried about Kolb's play, because despite his #'s, I think he showed improvement. He stepped up in the pocket more than in games past (though he still backpeddled too much). He also released the ball faster than normal, notwithstanding his hot-route receivers doing nothing and getting him sacked every single time. I just got the impression he understood the gameplan more than before. His receivers let him down in several instances, and if it wasn't the receivers it was his offensive line. Overall it was pathetic statistically, but encouraging overall if you ask me.

Totally ridiculous statement. Like saying Steve Young sucked because he played with a crappy Bucs team, and looked terrible. Actually, same thing with Doug Williams and the Bucs. Bucs got some bad luck. Point is, you don't know what you're talking about. You can't know. You got your panties all in a twist because we suck this year and decided to rant.

How in the world can you make excuses for his horrible play? They literally had to tie ropes to him during practice to keep him from running wild at the first sign of danger!!! He mentally is not good enough . At this rate of so called progress he will be an OK QB at the end of his contract.

Even when his receivers "let him down" it was on balls thrown behind them, twice on 3rd and long and well short of the 1st down marker. Even if they catch them we gain 2 yards and are punting anyway.

Kolb shows nothing... not even the slightest hint he is a competant QB. And his numbers in Philly are no different. He is just crap. There is no reason to think he is anything but crap.

I know they wont waive him, but I honestly think they would be better off if they did. He is a sunk cost, he was a sunk cost from the moment they traded for him. This was an inexcusably dumb move by everyone involved and when Ken Whizenhunt's coaching tombstone is chiseled the date of death should be the moment they executed this awful trade.

Point is, most of our games have been down to the 4th quarter. We've probably lost more games by 4 points or less than any team in the NFL. That is a sign of a team on the rise. Get our offensive line solidified (doesn't even have to be good, just solid) and get Kolb comfortable in the pocket, and we're winning games next year.

Again, nope. Too easy to write off a QB after a few bad games (half a season with us, that's it!). And you want to write him off? Ridic. Just like I said of those other teams in Tampa, giving up SB QB's after a short time. That's the example. Ridiculous to write a dude off after 6 games in our season with no pre-season, no offseason, no nothing. The idea is preposterous.
