Okay, there has been a lot of discussion about who should start, but I am having trouble deciphering what percentage of the board is Team Kolb, and what is Team Skelton...

So who do you want starting week 10, assuming both are healthy?

Where is the Team Cards option. I want the guy who gives us the best chance to win to start and could care less which guy that turns out to be. I'd probably choose Skelton right now but only because Kolb is hurting and has started to make me wax nostalgic about Max Hall. Truth be told, I'd probably fall in the Team Somebody Else Not On Our Roster camp.

Just curious between Skelton and Kolb... I am sure if I threw Bartel in there, there would be a couple votes for him as well.

Interesting to see who is a Kolb guy and who isn't, and I think it will be fairly predictable.

kolb will, skelton should. My opinion at the end of the year last yr and still stands. I believe in Skelton and think he will be top notch at some point.

Just heard on KTAR that Kolb is NOT expected to play on Sunday

If we removed the $$ paid from the equation, and judged strictly in terms of on field performance, I have to go with Skelton at this point.

I am actually surprised by the results so far, but I guess it is obvious to everyone that Kolb has absolutely ZERO pocket presence.

If both are healthy, then Kolb. But not by a large margin. He is skittish in the pocket like crazy. Skelton isn't wowing me still, but he does have a good amount of poise in the pocket...and he's still developing. I have hopes for John, but right now, I want to ride or die with Kolb and either expose him as a complete fraud or determine if he can overcome his idiotic happy feet.

But this thread is moot, since Kolb isn't healthy and isn't going to start on Sunday.

Your boy PP21 has ruined any chance of that lol. Just think, if it weren't for him we would be in line for the best QB prospect to come out in 15 years!!!!!

No, we'd find some way to lose out to the Colts in a coin flip or something like that. Either that or we WOULD draft him and he'd have a career ending injury in training camp.

You know it, too.

I'm a big Skelton fan, but I really want him as the backup right now - I think Kolb gives us a better chance to win and I think if he improves just a little, it will be a much bigger difference than Skelton improving just a little (since the offense isn't going to adapt to either of them this season).

But Kolb isn't healthy and I'm glad to see Skelton get playing time.

How long do you continue to start Kolb if his current performance does not improve? If you let him sart all year then you go into the draft not knowing if you need to draft a QB or not. You will not have seen enough of Skelton to know what he is going to be and you will have Kolb who will have been dismal all year unless he has a turn around. Luck is not the only good QB this year. Several have made their presence known and are going to be first round picks.

I think you continue to start Kolb, at least for 3-4 more games. But if he's hurting then starting Skelton this week is the right thing to do.

Andrew Luck

too late. our proficiency at returning punts (of all things) has seen to that. cripes, not even a defense to hang our hats on. just a punt returner. we suck.

(and for you koolaiders out there revelling in this meaningless victory over a craptastic rams, please note that i waited a couple days to say ANYTHING negative so as to allow all of you your short-term enjoyment)

The rest of the season - he has to flat out PROVE that we cut the ties and treat him as a sunk cost.

And you draft a QB regardless. I've seen enough of Skelton to know he's going to be at least a solid backup. I don't know if Kolb is a complete, epic failure or just a wuss who needs to find his footwork and stop running like a hen trying to lay an egg (and succeeding).

If Kolb doesn't completely, horribly fail, our turtle FO won't cut ties. They don't understand sunk cost analysis.

We aren't making the playoffs. Skelton will be ok. Kolb is the biggest question mark on the team - he needs to steer the ship either toward the land or toward the iceberg, and we should let him bring it all the way to shore or the bottom of the ocean, either way. No need for future second guessing with us poised to suck like crazy this season.

I'm not looking at the money invested in Kolb. I think Skelton has the best chance to not only be the QBOTF but the best chance to win now especially given the opportunity. Let him start until he proves otherwise.

The vote started with a huge disparity, but has narrowed quite a bit.
