This is a "must win" game for the Cardinals.

If the Cardinals win I hope they serenade Harbaugh with some "who's got it better than us." Chants :)

That's very promising. We might have a legit no. 1 CB.

The system works!!!
Man, when the Vikings couldn't get any pressure last year Flores completely changed the system to be the most cover 0 team in the league while also being the most drop 8 team in the league.

Here's the numbers.

At least he's up to 75% snaps now. He actually played most snaps at CB against GB. But he should be playing 100%. I don't like the defenses tendency to rotate so much. Let players get in a rhythm.

Budda and Thompson play 100%, so it's not a given that the CBs will be rotated. When the youngsters learn and get better, their snaps will increase. Rallis isn't afraid to keep players out there, who can handle it. It will be a rotation until a few clearly separate themselves from the rest, long-term.

Williams already separated himself from the rest but he only played 74% of snaps last week.

DTD had a good game vs the Niners then didn't play a snap against Green Bay as the defense was gashed.

These two things don't go together. Either you keep your best guys on the field or you're rotating them for rest. Williams has clearly been the best CB but is still missing snaps and Jalen has been poor all year but is still getting 100% despite DTD showing promise. It makes no sense.

They use him mostly as a nickel corner. The reason he plays so many snaps is the Cardinals play 5+DBs a lot. His lowest snap% games have been Buffalo and Detroit. Not shocking those team are both bottom 10 in 11 personnel usage.

I understand, but they shouldn't. They should be putting him outside considering he has the size and it's where he played in college, and that SMB and STV have both been sub optimal.

contrarian take:

with the advent of two high split safety alignments -- covering the slot Wr in the middle of the field becomes your most important CB
