By that logic couldn't it be argued with so few other options it would be easier for defenses to target Fitzgerald and prevent targets?

Larry should be paid $4-5 million based on his production (he's 32nd at WR by every statistical measurement).

And he's paid as a top 20 receiver, not top 10. Several more will likely jump ahead of him after re-signings and free agency.

$4.5M/year would have Fitz ranked at #52 at the moment... probably below 60 by the time the season starts.

As expected ....not a single word of PROOF of why Larry is worth the cap....and NO you can't 'create' cap space....only go into debt later ....like credit cards. The lack of intelligence of the statement that you can 'create cap' space has got to be one of the dumbest things I've heard....sounds like a kid who got a new credit card "LOOK THEY GAVE ME A FREE $500"

Two years ago he led the league in receptions. Beating AB and Jarvis Landry.

Last year he was #2 in the league. Behind AB IIRC.

Those two guys make over 15 mil per year I think if not closer to 20.

He still has more tackles(37) in his career that he had drops (29ish).

This year he played in the worst offense since I don't know when.

Are those enough stats for you?
