It wasn’t exactly a pretty win but man was it good to see Arizona’s stars finally get involved in a game plan!

DJ wasn’t running it up the gut every carry for a 2 yard gain...The screen passes to the outside we’re executed well today.

And there was a Larry Legend sighting as he went for over 100 yards today.

It was Leftwich’s first game and the offense sputtered to start to be expected...But you gotta love your rookie qb throwing dimes in the 4th to lead his team to a come-from-behind victory.

I think I speak for many of us when I say thank you for giving us hope for the future. We never expected a Super Bowl appearance but we wanted to see progress. Today we saw just that. Well done Cardinals players and staff.

Great to see the D and offense actually both do their part in the same game to pull off a victory.

Nobody can fix our horrible OL and TE talent, as well as lack of WR depth. But when you scheme around it you get more positive plays. That's what Leftwich did. He put the ball in the hands of our best playmakers DJ and Larry. That's the way it should be moving forward.

We still ran up the middle to much. Didn't compete a pass to anyone other than Larry for like 3 qtrs. We looked better last half of qtr but we looked same against Seattle and Chicago. Just got coached cuffed in those 2 games. We really could be 4-4 .

Fitz had 4 more receptions than DJ & 5 more than Gresh & Kirk. They spread the ball around yesterday.

The game up until the last five minutes was a mirror of McCoy. When they started to run the two minute is when things started to cook. Id suggest doing that the entire game.

That will be tough against the Chiefs. You have to do everything you can to protect your defense and prolong the game...

The players decided to win the game which I'm ok with it's their team, they can do what they want.

In terms of draft choices hell we tend to screw those up anyhow, drafting number one is hard, probably not a good year to trade down either so it's simply not the Cardinal way to leverage a sucky season for a high draft pick.

So good for them, but we've still only beaten one team, the same team we beat with the other OC, it literally proves only one thing that some players want to win.

The offense steadily improved as the game went on.

The OL will be a problem for the rest of the season. There is no getting around that.

Still you have to be encouraged by Leftwich calling plays where he got the ball to DJ out in space as well as plays designed to get Fitz the ball.

I'm happy for Leftwich as I think he did a great job calling his first game as an OC. Just the fact that he got the plays in on time would have been a plus in my book. The improvement that we saw in play calling was the icing on the cake for me.

Pugh is important for Cole so his being out hurts. We will need to address LG in the offseason. I'm sold on signing Humphries to an extension at this point. Wetzel is a decent swing player.

Yeah I pretty much agree. I think LG and RT should be the priority.

Isn't LG Pugh's original position? I seem to remember him talking about having to make the switch to the right side. Since we're stuck with his contract, wouldn't it make sense if they moved him to left next year?

I don't believe so...Pugh was a LT in college. Maybe that is what you you heard him talking about.

...nope, you are correct, Pugh played LG in NY.

I don't understand why they didn't just put him at LG then. We all knew Iupati was not going to be around long term.

Wetzel is a really good backup swing tackle. Not a world beater, but he steps in at either tackle and plays moderately well, just below starter level. I would sign him to an extension, swing backups that give you average play like Wetzel are hard to find.
