Leroy Hill Anyone?

What do you think about picking up Leroy Hill, cutting Chike and moving Dansby to the outside? We then have a 26 yr old MLB under contract in Hill, and some accountability if Dansby really has no intention of resigning with us. If that is the case we will be losing Dansby and Chike after this year anyway so we might as well replace him now with a younger guy so at least we secure one of the two LB spots beyond next year.

Chike gives us $5M to use on Hill, Edge's $5M can be used to extend Wilson. Hill was talking 6 yr $36M w/Seattle. How big a risk is he from an off the field standpoint?

I dont want Hill either, but I hope you dont still think there is a chance that we keep Dansby.

I am not optimistic about resigning Dansby and if you replace Chike with Hill you are not that far off on the dollars. $5M of the $6-$7 it will take. I don't see it impacting the Wilson deal and if the Dansby deal can't happen whats the problem? Dockett will not be renegotiated this year period and Dansby's stance is what puts us in a bad position to extend Boldin.

I think Hill wants to go back home to the South. I heard Tampa Bay has made him an offer.
