Just watched this and as usual, Shane and I live on the same move page..... Damn good movie!!! The ending was just fine, and the last line of the movie was simply cute.
4 out of 5 stars, 4.5 out of 5 stars within its genre.

I loved the movie and only had one real complaint. Gleeson was horribly miscast. I love the guy, he's probably my favorite character actor of the last few decades but big budget movies haven't always treated him well. He's misused in the Potter movies too and his commanding general character in this one didn't ring true for me. Since I know the man can act, I have to blame that on the script or the direction. But still, the movie was a lot of fun and re-watches quite well too.

Don't completely disagree.... although I would couch it as "could have been better cast," rather than "horribly miscast."

I would have too if I wasn't such a fan of Brendan. The guy just cracks me up and it's a shame to waste him in a role devoid of personality. I think I'll do a Gleeson double header tonight and watch him in The Guard and In Bruges. Then maybe I'll follow up tomorrow with Lake Placid. Give him a decent part and he can make even a mediocre movie like that enjoyable. For my wife and I, at least. And then, after those three, I'll re-watch Live, Die, Repeat but I'll do it for Emily Blunt.

The movie completely stands up upon watching again on Blu Ray. Going to give the 3D a whirl this weekend.

Per netflix the title is still Edge of Tomorrow, but the poster only shows that title in small font at the bottom. Strange.
