Watching "How It's Made" right now...They are showing corn tortillas...I'm guessing Deuce already knows how they're made.

Sometimes it takes a while for things really to sink in for a person. Hopefully, this is the time that motivates Deuce to make the changes he needs to for the betterment of his professional career and his personal life.

I hope he has learned a lesson and that he is very motivated this year.

He didn't learn his lesson last year because even though he was in the doghouse he played relatively well. I think Deuce learned his lesson when he failed his physical for the Bengal's and CKW allowed him to return.

Just gotta hang out with different people during the off-season. If he kicked it with some dudes that are working out and watching what they eat (aka other successful lineman), he could learn an off-season routine that could benefit him in come training camp time. Looks like he's been hanging out with his family (where the food can come in big delicious portions). That's gotta be rough, but if he can fix it, he can probably get a fat contract.

I got this from Wikipedia about Tongan culture....it's a way of life for these people...cut him some slack IMO. Half of their problem is the crap food western civilization brought to the islands

Tongan cuisine and health. Tonga is notable for its high obesity rates with over 90% of the population being overweight. Consequently, many Tongan islanders have an increased risk of heart disease, diabetes and other obesity related diseases which place the nation's health service under considerable strain.[4] Much of this is related to the nation's cultural love of food and eating as well as the modern influx of cheap and high-fat content meat, with corned beef and lamb belly remaining firm favourites in Tongan cuisine. Despite being a highly obese population, there little stigma attached to being overweight as one might find in many Western civilisations. Like a great number of South Pacific cultures, large bodies are often revered, though there is growing acknowledgment of the health risks involved.

Please. It's as much western civilization's fault that he is obese as it is the Columbia's fault that the world has drug addicts. I hope Deuce can find the will power to choose a healthier lifestyle for his own health and financial well being, but that is something he alone has control over.

Fact remains he is not a favorite Olineman for a defensive line to deal with. He does his job with attitude and is the nastiest SOB with a smile.

I like him, He's got a chip on his shoulder, dare anybody to eat it off. It'll be like kung fu Panda's worse nightmare!

Yep He's going to do the Bengals like that dancing bear attacking him on, Double Deuce just laughed and laughed,
He knew them pant's would fit them!

Deuce came back to us because he failed his physical with the Bengals.

The Bears game

The Bears game, Deuce knocked him down twice on a play, got under a bear players skin, and He started wailing on the back of Deuces helmet. Deuce was laughing the whole time! The bear player was ejected! in 09 I think?

the other part was a lil suzy joke that some old timers might remember, but not appropriate in today's day and age.

I still like the DeuceMeister and his one KEG ABs. He had to be the guy that inspired Kung FU Panda.

And the KOOL AID CHARACTER!

OH YEA!

I have no idea what that meant.

Blood is thicker than water and his family ties and customs would undoubtly have great influence on the process. Cutting ties with your family is not an easy thing to do and generally requires syncronicity that sets off events to make it happen.

I speak to my own drug addiction that cost me my family and friends. Couldn't hang with them anymore and it took years before fences were mended...they thought I was a wimp ass punk cuz I wouldn't get high with them anymore. Things in my life happened that pointed to another way for me.

Things will happen for Duece...or they won't. I don't think it's so much about will power as you state....it takes a gigantic will power to keep eating/drugging the way addicts do. He has will power, undoubtly...just look at him and you see it.

To your final point, I don't think any of us are truly alone in our decisions. We may think we are alone, but others help us all the time....we just don't see it or acknowledge it

I read it

I'm no expert I'm get down and waller in the dirt naked Arizona Cardinals Football Club Fan.

But I was reffering to the link, He said He looked the Bengals in the face and said you don't know what your letting walk out te door right now, That is confidence and a chip.

He'll back it up on Christmas Eve, Deuce will assinated those tigers.

Deuce came back to us because he failed his physical with the Bengals.

THESMEL - thanks for the explanation. I really had no idea what you were talking about.

MrYeahBut - eloquently put, but I believe we make those decisions as individuals. I think you're right in that we can learn from other's examples and the support we receive from those around us can make a huge difference. But the decision to take action is ours alone.
