On the bright side this speeds up the decision of when to convert him to TE like many other teams planned to do in the first place.

Thomas was recruited out of high school because of his ability as a TE if I am not wrong as well as the possibility of him being a QB... the TE position is not foreign to him, I agree Mr. Smith :)

I like Phillip Sims for what he is at this point in his young career and I actually would dump Thomas before I would put time into making him a TE because he is a freaking 4th round pick. Sims was recruited by Bama and actually has shown accuracy, a fourth round pick is nothing in the grand scheme of things and the fact that Thomas cares and has tried hard with no improvement means you wish the guy the best but this is about winning!

Stanton looked great today. He drove the second team offense against the starting defense for a couple of TDs. I'd say he is one of the top 5 back up QBs in the league.

That's great to hear, but also bad to hear that the D got burned with a few TD's from second stringers.

I'm totally with you on this JG , I was all about he is a QB project , lets give him a fair chance to improve . I feel like that has been done , and he hasn't shown enough . If he gets moved to TE now , he will be A TE project " NO Thanks " time to cut bait !!!!

Speaking of Cardinal TE's who underachieved.

Johnny McWilliams has a son, Johnny Jr, who's a college basketball prospect, plays SG.

Yet another thing that makes me feel old.

Since when have we had big, quick TEs who could catch?

Ifeanyi Momah 6'7" 248lbs and it was reported that he ran a 4.4 forty. He's a former WR who can catch the ball. I'm telling you this kid looked like the real deal when I was at practice on Friday. Just needs to improve his blocking.

He is a major matchup problem for shorter DBs:

He's 6'7"? If he can catch, he could be a TE we have been wanting to see for awhile. Was this the guy that came to the vet combine?

I just updated the image on my previous post. You can really see the size advantage that he has over most DBs in that photo. From what I have seen at least at the Friday practice that I attended, he can catch the ball pretty well.
