Whoever does the BBB t-shirts probably does the shoes too. In fact whoever does the....eh whom i am kidding I know very little about the manufacturing business. Lol

LOL

This is so bizarre. Reminds me of the Todd Marinovich story.

What is BBB? Is it a new company?

Big Baller Brand.

My question is, what set the price, Lavars lack of understanding of the market, or that they're so small they can't get a deal that allows them to use cheap Chinese or Indonesian labor like Nike does?

The shoe actually looks pretty good, i wouldn't pay 500 bucks for a pair of shoes, but I've seen far worse looking ones that the big companies put out.

So far all his prices are extremely high which suggests to me he either doesn't understand the market, or his stuff is being made somewhere that's much more expensive than what Nike and Adidas use.

He can't produce the quantities that Nike and others put out, he will have much higher manufacturing costs.

As to the shoe, you think that looks good?!?!?!?!

Lots of people have already come out and said they like the look of the shoe, they just think it's massively overpriced.

Stephon Marbury has said he actually would like to either work with Lavar or help him get his own shoe line going and he also said he likes what he's seen of the shoes. But he's certainly not going to like the price tag, that's the exact opposite of the Starbury.

It's just reality as a guy starting a brand you're not going to have the money and the infrastructure to make stuff cheap. You're either going to have very low margins, or very high costs, and he's got high costs

A couple of guys on the UCLA site I read are talking about buying the collectable one just as an investment. the idea being it's a low volume item, if Lonzo winds up being a big star, even if the shoe doesn't sell well the collectable ones in the case could go up in value because they're autographed and so few were made.

I'm not putting up 1K to buy one but it's an intriguing idea.

Just adds to the insulting things he has said for quite some time.

yeah I'm fine with marketing a high end shoe, but telling people if they can't afford it they're not big ballers is silly. Shaq accused him of exploiting kids which is silly, kids can't afford those shoes, they're not the target audience rich people are IMO.

If Lonzo flutters at all in the NBA....he's going to get so much crap from players and fans alike. It's going to be amazing! I would never wear those shoes if it made me shoot like Lonzo...holy smokes.
