Cincy, Buffalo, & Denver have either lost or are getting blasted.

We are currently being out-coached by an extra from the Soprano's.

So.... If a gun was to your head... Who do you want?

Here is my top 5 in the order I would take them.

#1 - Andrew Luck
#2 - Cam Newton
#3 - Patrick Peterson
#4 - Da'Quan Bowers
#5 - Von Miller <-- Would be a reach, maybe trade down.

What are your thoughts?

I just can't stop looking at the transcendent talents that Newton has. Coupled with a bazooka for an arm, and the ability to evade defenders in the pocket and in the open field.

Luck will be gone. I put my money on Newton.

too bad the Cardinals won't have the balls to take him. I have a feeling we will do another "Levi Brown" at the #5 spot.

No one in the organization should be safe.

You have to put Quinn in the mix at 5 too. Why can't their be an OL worthy of a top 10 pick? Figures when the Cards need one most, there isn't one worth it. But I guess Levi wasn't worth it and that didn't stop the Cards so you never know.
With the 5th pick the Arizona Cardinals select DeMarcus Love,OT Arkansas.

Von Miller isn't going any higher than the 3rd round. Book it.

Robert Quinn. There is no way VM goes #5 overall.

Agreed... Von Miller is more 8 to 10. Quinn would have to be re-made to be a 3-4 player. Von Miller can be plugged in right away.

3rd round, wow. I don't think he'll be a top 15 pick but, unless there is something we don't know, I can't see him going any lower than mid-round 2. But you never know.

Well I'm not really too sold on him, he has no pass rush moves and is small. He'll be a reach in the first round IMO.

Quinn could be plugged right in after offseason workouts and training camp, these guys don't forget how to play after missing a few months of football. Shake the rust off in TC and he will be good to go as any other rookie trying to playing in the NFL.

As it has bee said VM is a bit undersized and relies on his speed to get to the QB, that won't fly in the NFL.

If Aaron Maybin can get drafted as high as he was based totally on atheltic ability, I think somebody will take a chance on Miller. At least Miler has been productive. I don't necessarily want the Cards to take him just because of his lack of bulk.

p.s. This team likes to reach at the #5 pick.

Bartel is currently killing our WR's... Fitz now Komar.

238 is very small. I might be re-thinking my #5. I though he was more of a Freeney type. Freeney has 30lbs on him though.

You guys are all way off. The Cards #5 pick will probably be the top OLineman in DII

I sure would not rule out the TCU QB after watching him play this week. This guy must have been flying under the radar, Size, Mobility, accuracy, smarts and has won something like 42 games in 4 years.

I went into this game today thinking our #1 need was a QB. Nothing has changed except I am ruling out Skelton as the QBOTF. Maybe a second on third stringer but there is no way this team can start next year thinking he is our QB. I would cut them all except Skelton. Draft a QB with our #1 and get the best FA QB who is willing to come to this team. That may be limited after the way we played this year. I would also fire Graves, the DC, and make Whiz hire an OC. I will be surprised if we get half of what I want.

So you're in the same boat as our clueless HC. A young QB cannot elude a complete, all-out in-his-face blitz for almost an entire quarter, so of course it must be HIS fault :eyeroll:

John, in all of the time I've been here, this is the most I've ever agreed with you. That's pretty much exactly how I feel.

I do not know how you leave Ryan Mallet completely off the list. As far as an arm goes his is the strongest in college football if not the NFL. He is accurate and broke a lot of SEC records which as close as you can come to the NFL in college ball. He will likely go in the top three. If there is no agreement between the union and owners you can count on some of those juniors like Luck and Mallet and Newton staying at college. Are we bad or are we worse than bad. Clearly the Bidwills have to do something you would think. Maybe fire the waterboy.

VM and Freeney have nothing in common other than that they both try to rush the passer. Freeney ran a 4.4 at 268lbs and has all the different pass moves (speed rush, bull rush, his spin).

I want us to draft Quinn, but man he better be the real deal if we are drafting #5 overall. That is pretty damn high for a 3-4 OLB, unless you've got the next DeMarcus Ware it's a position that typically doesn't get drafted with primetime picks because you never know how a player will transition from DE to OLB, since there aren't a lot of 3-4 teams in college.

The junoirs have to declare by Jan 18th(i think that's the date) so the CBA won't have any effect.

If anyone has not yet figured out what we need they you have not been watching. Every freaking TV commentator or network commentators say the same thing. Terry Bradshaw wanted to know who freaking Skelton was. If we do not sign a FA QB and draft one look for a long decade.

Everyone has anointed Luck as the chosen one. Do not be surprised if the NFL guys do not see it the same way.

He is in my top 7 or 8. Not top 5.

I love his arm. I just hate his mobility. I am just convinced that the next evolution is mobility. In the pocket and out.

I have not seen Mallet perform on the big stage and be the DIFFERENCE yet either. The Alabama and game really gives me pause.
