jesus! I'm just an on and off watcher - generally know what's going on and everything but not diehard like y'all, but that being said, just the first half-hour of this finale has been RIVETTING. Eyes are glued to the TV for the next 90 minutes. Finally, SOMETHING that doesn't suck ass this month after the mediocrity of Spidey 3, Shrek 3, Nash's Run 3 and everything else under the sun(s)!

Great episode. So whose funeral do you think they were talking about? I say maybe Ben or Walt.

Finally, got to love that Sawyer didn't forget his little vendetta with Tom ("it's not over between you and me")

I'm still trying to process everything.

I can't believe nobody has brought this up yet though... Jack kept saying, "call my father."

Jack's father is dead... isn't he?

Just a theory..

If Ben is telling the truth about Naomi's people, then that would explain the why she would tell them that everybody on the flight was dead as far as the outside people are concerned. It would be more believable for it to be just a lie instead of assuming that Dharma/Others orchestrated a real crash with real bodies, etc...

But then again, this is Lost..anything is pretty much possible.

I can't believe we have to wait until next January for the next season gaah!!

They never did find his body on the island. Good catch.

That adds another Holy Crap element to this episode that was filled with them already.

You're right. His body was supposed to be in that plane since Jack was flying him back to the US. That's what confused me with the timeline of the "flashback". I did have a feeling that it was Kate in that car in the end though... Don't know why but it was the only way that episode could have ended perfectly and setup the next three seasons. Too many questions were starting to get answered the past few episodes, it's time for more :)

okay, thirty minutes left and I'm literally cheering and clapping for a show that I'm not even a die-hard fan of. After the last two years of relatively disappointing season finales, this finale is ONE OF THE BEST THINGS I'VE EVER SEEN ON TV.

30 minutes left - how much more fricked up is this gonna get?!

Best finale I've seen in ages. Seriously.

Lost knows how to do it...

And the last half of this season was pretty damn awesome.

I think we all thought of that, but I didn't want to post before the West Coast people saw the ending and I have no clue how to use the spoiler feature.

I do have to say that I loved last season's finale. This one was something else. I mean how many people died tonight.

- the two women in the Hatch
- Mikell
- Charlie
- the seven others that died in the explosion
- Ryan
- the other guy on the beach that Sayid killed
- Tom (I have to admit I was sad to see him go)
- Naomi

That's 14 by my count. Am I forgetting anyone?

How many of you were just cheering when Hurley came out of the bushes in that van?

Too much. Too much.

IMO that spoiler feature is very overused here. I know if I had not watched the episode I wouldn't come here until I had. I figure once it's over on the West Coast we are safe to talk about anything that has happened on the latest episode.

I've always thought the spoiler feature was for when we find some leaked information or have some theory that would ruin future episodes for others.

Am I the only one that thought to themselves that when we saw the grenade, why Charlie did not run through the door and at least try to swim out of there.

I do not think the funeral was for Sawyer, I think he and Kate are still together since Kate said, "I better get back or he will start to wonder". I think the funeral was for Ben. I say this because when the when the guy ask Jack if he was family or friend, he said neither. I also think it is Ben because when Jack saw it and got all upset about it because Ben tried to warn him and keep him on the island.
