Ok, it made me jump in the sweat lodge when he saw the bear face.

Desmond sees the future, without heroin....I bet the Heroes painter would love to trade.

Good ep....GREAT to see Boone again, then Bloody Boone.

Some people were wondering if Hurley and Locke were the only ones who saw Desmond.

Oooooh, that's nice....that's real nice. Hurley because he sees fake people but why Locke? He saw Des before he started tripping off that jungle jam.

Not my favorite episode, didnt answer a single thing. Didnt accomplish much.

I get some people feel that way, but I don't see why every episode HAS to answer something.

This was a great mythical episode from back in season 1 or 2, when you are confused on what is happening, it's mysterious, even supernatural.

There have been a lot of episodes based soley on the Others and "hard facts" "realistic" things...

But this was back to the whole thing about the island calling Locke there and speaking to him.

I think it showed that when Locke gives up on the Island last season, he really shouldn't have. There are still things to do.

That's what I thought too, Desmond died in the explosion and only Hurley and Locke now see him?

Weird show, liked it but weird.

The Cardinals need to get one of those sweat lodge things for the coaches at halftime so they can be ready for the 2nd half.

She's the only one who DID fight.

;)

You right, but not by design. They left her back because they felt they could ambush the hapless 'others' on their own. If they would have included her in their plan they could have done a hell of a lot more than what they did.

I meant after the explosion.

Correction, implosion. :)

Good theory on the Hugo and Locke are the only ones to see Des after EMP blast.

I have a theory he time traveled during the EMP event/blast/whatever.. So he knows what is going to happen. Which is why he could just stand there throwing rocks into the ocean not giving a crap about anything.

Last night I went to an AzFL game and set the DVR to record Lost. It screwed it up. Through BT, I just finished watching it and thought it was solid although obviously not as exciting as the season's first two episodes. I am glad that Locke has confidence in himself again. The confident Locke is one of my favorite characters.

The new characters Nikki and Paolo made their debuts (albeit only for a few seconds). I hope they can be integrated as regulars as seemlessly as the tailies were last season.

I actually think they told us a lot of really important stuff in this episode. Not all of it is spelled out for you, but here's what I saw:
~Locke is not without his own skeletons; and he's destined to become a "hunter." I also suspect that he loses his ability to walk in that forest (in the second half of the scene that we haven't seen, yet).
~Desmond seems to have time traveled (which leads me to believe that "the Others" don't have contact with the outside world at all, but rather just have "history" to refer to to make it appear as if they have a pipeline to the outside).

Who was the actor who played the undercover cop? He's super familiar to me, but I can't place him.

His name is Justin Chatwin and he was the brother of Dakota Fanning / son of Tom Cruise in War of the Worlds.

Thanks. I just looked him up. It was "Chumscrubber" that I knew him from.

He really reminds me of Giovanni Ribisi, just younger and less partied out.

Yeah, found out some things tonight:
- They are on another island entirely right now, at least, Jack, Sawyer and Kate
- Desmond can see the future somehow
- One of the Others needs surgery, hence the reason Jack is needed
- They have a SUBMARINE, if I heard right. That's why they weren't wet when they boarded the boat last week, which I was thinking was just an oversight.
Good one.

Good one.

And their communications were out, due to the failsafe key that imploded the hatch and then turned the sky purple.

I don't think the Others live on a seperate island, I think the mini-island is a medical facilty and where the zoo was. If the island is "roughly twice the size of Alcatraz", they couldn't inhabit that place, not after seeing them so much on the main island (and the fact that their little "town" is so large and obviously in the middle of a wide valley).

Big spoiler about a guest star, so read at your own risk...

Nathan Fillion (yes, from Firefly and Serenity) will be guest starring on November 9th playing... Kate's husband!

Season opener showed that the others are on a seperate island. First scene showed the plane crash on the seperate island.
