I believe at 7:00 there is an hour-long recap show and then 8-10:30 is the finale.

I just checked 7-9 is a review and from 9-11:30 is the finale surprised they are letting it cut into the local news here on the east coast

Good call, yeah that's right. The big deal was that it was going to preempt local news out there--us west coasters will have news though I believe.

Finale starts 8pm MST. FYI to Arizonans.

How is that gonna work seeing as I will see the completed finale before you guys, I figured ABC wouldn't want the chance of spoilers to go out there I know it starts 8pm CST as well which would be 6pm your time. So when I'm done here at 11:30pm you guys will be your first half hour in, ill be sure not to post until then.

PS MIB was on TMZ yesterday and said no alternative endings and no movie, was kind of hoping for a different ending for the DVD set

I read somewhere on the after show with Kimmel, there will be 3 alternate ending they show that they shot to throw everyone off like the casket scene with Locke.

So, does everyone think Juliet is Jack's ex? We haven't met his ex yet and Juliet has to make a comeback on the show. I think meeting up with her triggers Sawyer (who ends up going with Miles to the concert).

Is this where we hear her famous last words "how about a cup of coffee sometime?"

I'm certain Juliet is Jack's ex...makes perfect sense.

On a side note, I can't believe some of the reactions about this last episode being "meh" and a midseason episode...I mean, Jacob actually sat down and gave ANSWERS...we know who is succeeding him...I thought it was fantastic.

I almost had tears in my eyes as Jack takes over...this guy who wanted to get off the Island so bad, who had zero faith...is going to sacrifice to make sure it stays safe.

I love it...they are just really bringing this full circle and completing an amazing story.

I'm definitely not with everyone where I want all the answers to every single question ever. I think if you hope for that, you will be disappointed.

I recommend just sitting back and enjoying what happens...and not worry about what's not happening.

I'm right with you.

I think the dramatic format of using questions, answers, and twists has caused many people to actually enjoy getting answers less than not having them honestly. I have read and talked to many people who are still speculating that Jack will die and someone else will actually take Jacobs position (Hugo, Desmond).

In the beginning of the arc, it was so much fun to speculate how the conclusion happens that now that it's happening people are pissed about the fun being taken out. The fact that answers are being given, and in a rather strait forward manner, makes for meh TV if you'd rather have twists and vaguerities to speculate from.

Edit: Also, not that it matters at this point, but can we conclude that Jin was the Kwon on the list as Sun was a mother since Kate being a mother took her off the list? Honestly, from Jacobs explanation it would seem the Kwons would both be off the list as a result of having each other.

Couldn't find the original that I read, but here is another site saying the same thing.

http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsideth...-endings-on-jimmy-kimmels-finale-special.html

Thats weird unless it doesn't include him which i don't see how it couldn't. I think for CYA purposes it makes sense to only have one because what if the fans find one of the other ones as a more satisfactory ending it wouldn't look good for whoever made the choice to air the one that they did.

uh, what did Jacob tell us that we didn't already know? That one of them needs to defend the island? Uh... ok. Pretty sure we've know that for most of the season. That a name being scratched out doesn't actually mean anything. Ok... whatever. That the light is what needs protecting... ok, we already knew that.

I just didn't find the sit-down to give anything to the viewer. sure, maybe to the characters, but meh.

Looks like the 2.5 hour finale is actually 1:45 without commercials. So that's 45 min. of commercials. I think I'll record it and watch it right after it concludes, I can wait a few more hours. Or I could watch it with a 45 min. delay. Can't stand commercials.
Emmy eligibility rules state that the maximum length of Emmy-eligible TV episodes is 88 minutes (without commercials), but "The End", airing this Sunday, is 17 minutes too long. However, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Board of Governors voted last night to give the show a 1-time exemption. Such a "commonsense thinking" bending of the rules is not unprecedented and allows the episode to be considered for acting, directing and other individual honors.

I can't wait for Sunday...going to record it for after the Suns game because I think they'll be partly on at the same time?

I definitely DO NOT want alternate endings...just one strong ending, hopefully.

Now THAT was an ENDING

Lots of questions still unanswered but enjoyable nonetheless

I really don't know what to think of any of that (except I liked it).

I stopped watching sometime in the third season, and just watched the finale tonight. Can somebody please explain what happened in between?

I cried when Vincent laid down by Jack, not gonna lie.

I still don't know how I feel about what the sideways world ended up being.

I'm do know, though, that I am terribly confused. I thought the finale was awesome until the last 10 minutes. Then it's like WHAT?

I've been trying to write meaningful stories for 20 years now, short stories, novels, screenplays. Whatever you think of the ending, my (unsuccessful) experience of trying this informs me what the Lost writers, directors, actors, and editors have accomplished is very rare and worthwhile. If you look at it as the story of Jack, to drag out a meaningful story of a man like that and make it mostly compelling for seven years, and still be on point to the very last scene, that just amazes me.

In the end Lost was somehow very formulaic. You have the unwilling hero who gets run up a tree, rocks are thrown at him, then he comes down a changed man who's learned an important lesson. Lost just chose to make everything more cosmic, which is always an intensely risky project ... if you're not offending someone's beliefs you stand the chance of offending someone else's intelligence.

I think it's important to remember the goal is never to try to tell a new story. That's impossible. There are no new stories. The goal is to tell a timeless story in a way that people can relate to right now. And I think they accomplished that.

My hat is tipped to everyone involved. It was a trip I'm glad I took.

I enjoyed it thoroughly....no complaints here about anything. My favorite part(s) were when each of the characters had their moment of realization in the sideways world. I think I teared up on every one of them.

I am sad that it is over but I am happy that it ended in a satisfying way.
