Not earth shattering. Story is basically just stating the obvious. Teams talk about possible trades.

That’s only partially true. Because there is a way to accomplish both. If they work it right, they can trade down to #4 and still draft Anderson.
They don’t need to get cute and try to get a bunch of mid level players. Sometimes quantity isn’t better than quality
Based on their lack of interest in the FA market, the Cardinals are most definitely looking for quantity in the draft. Most rumors I hear is that the Cardinals do NOT see Anderson as being a generational talent that would make picking him at 3 better than the haul they can get by trading down.

Unfortunately, I have no faith that our organization even knows what generational talent is at this point. So forgive my pessimism about the trade down.
I’d love to give the new GM the benefit of the doubt but nothing he has done this offseason leads me not to believe he is anything more than another puppet to the owner.

Maybe Houston wants their QB and Anderson.

Houston
#3

Arizona
#12
#33
#73
2024 1st Round Pick (worst of the 2 they have)
If they take Anderson at 2 then want to make this trade, then yes. Only way that would happen any IMHO...

According to and heard from whom?
I can’t give you names, but I too have heard they aren’t sold on Anderson being a generational talent. They believe him to be a very good player, but not a certain Pro Bowl type. With that in mind, I agree the odds of a trade are very high.

They know we want Anderson, so if they wanted this trade, I assume that is what they would do.

What Chris Simms knows about defense can be summed up with the thought that for some reasons those guys kept hitting him.
I appreciate he actually breaks down film and has played the game at a high level.

Did a quick ask, not much super new here. The teams appear to be, Indy, Detroit (might take Anderson), Vegas, Atlanta, Tennessee and Washington.

I heard Tennessee’s offer was similar to this
What kind of haul could we expect from Indy? Or do they think Anderson is just a guy and they want to trade down further regardless? TIA!

It's been rumored that one team is ready to offer a 1 and a 2 this year, and 2 future #1s. Yet the Cards are holding out currently in hopes for more.
If it is TN I take that offer even though the future ones will probably be in the 20s.

Not sure about them being in the 20's. Think they are in going in a soft rebuild.
Soft division...only team they compete against, not in a rebuild is Jacksonville. If TN keeps Henry, they have a fairly easy road to making the playoffs.

So many on this board are in denial about how the league sees Tyree Wilson.

I see a massive man who moves very well and has elite length, power, and speed. Dude is a human wrecking ball.

I can easily see teams thinking he's a better prospect than Will Anderson Jr.

(I like Anderson better because I value production, but Wilson's traits are crazy good).
