At least six teams have inquired with the Arizona Cardinals about trading up for the third overall pick in the upcoming April 27 NFL Draft, per league sources. Cardinals still are mulling whether to move pick or make it.
The chances of moving out of that pick now stands at about 99.9%. It’s all about who will give up the farm for it. If the Cardinals LOVE Anderson, and I‘ve heard they don’t to that extent, then they move to 4. Otherwise, they’ll take the offer with the largest draft haul, even if they end up in the teens.

I know that will be debatable on this board as lots love Anderson but the Cards have so many holes to fill that a boatload of draft picks makes a lot of sense.

No matter what the Cardinals do, half the board’s heads will explode on draft night. Based on our FA period, there’s little doubt in my mind that the Cardinals are looking to trade out at least once & want the draft picks.

The more the merrier I say.

The more demand the more that the Cardinals can ask for in return. It's a game of chicken and you just need to wait for another team to fall in love with a player and wait for them to flinch. If you are not completely blown away with any of the offers you stay put and take the best player in the draft.

Time will give us the answer of whether to trade or not trade. Right now I have no idea, and I'll go with moving back one spot. While, we won't get a haul, we'll get something and also have a chance to draft Anderson. If for some reason Anderson goes to another team at #3 and Richardson is still available at #4, I'd move back again and hope for a haul.

Cardinals will drop the ball when they trade out. They got the worst scouting department hands down. Just take premier player at #3.

The CARDS won't trade #3 to a team targeting Anderson (IMO).

I would argue if the Cardinals loved Will Anderson, they wouldn't look to trade with any team other than Indy as that would be the only other way to still get Anderson. In that same vein, if they take a huge offer for 3, they likely don't really care who takes what player at 3.

It's been rumored that one team is ready to offer a 1 and a 2 this year, and 2 future #1s. Yet the Cards are holding out currently in hopes for more.

So it's going to be more then what the bears got from the Panthers for the number 1 pick?
Did ever happen that a later pick cost more in terms of compensation then a higher pick - (talking about top ten picks)

Maybe it's because it's further down in round 1 than they really want to drop...or they are waiting to see if Houston really wants Anderson, which would then make #3 more valuable.

this is just GM's walking through "what if" scenarios...
what if Richardson goes first and one of stroud or young are still there at 3?
what if richardson goes first, then anderson goes second...so stroud and young are both on the board at 3?

having an idea what Monti might be looking for helps a guy make quicker decisions on draft day

That’s only partially true. Because there is a way to accomplish both. If they work it right, they can trade down to #4 and still draft Anderson.
They don’t need to get cute and try to get a bunch of mid level players. Sometimes quantity isn’t better than quality

It depend on who make the calls
Rams got better contributions from mid late round players then the Cardinals with their recent first round picks
