Very true. Just like in college basketball (with the NCAA tournament), its how you are playing in the last month of the season that counts. No one cares if you go 14-2 and lose before th conference championship.
Get into the playoffs, survive, and move on.
We owe our NFC West opponents a few whippings. I suggest we give it to them (and their fans who ripped us for years)

I wonder what percentage of fans even knows that at this point.
Heck, I wonder what percentage of fans know that the guy changed football commentating in the '80s by really explaining and teaching the fans about what was going on on the field. So much of what he did was copied and became trite, but he did it first and he did it well.
