Is Channing Frye going to stand in his way?
Because of Channing Frye's ability to "spread the floor" (a 3rd Guard on offense) and his improvement in rebounding and defense (from pathetic to mediocre), if Markieff shows promise, will the Suns front office be willing to change the philosophy of using the Power Forward position as a Wing?
If not, it will leave Markieff with meaningless minutes no matter what. Will he get a chance to develop a game alongside Gortat?
On the other hand, if they use him as a backup Center, because he is stronger than Frye, it will his destroy his NBA confidence right from the start.
BTW, I am not saying that Frye should be our backup Center. He should not. He is a man without a position. We still need a backup Center to play ten minutes every night.
