Not going to pile on too much, just giving my thoughts on why it's great Markieff is gone even if he had skills to be a good player.

There were so many conflicting reports about him. There was the constant testimony of his coaches and teammates that he was this great guy, yet there was all this evidence to the contrary.

Keef was just way too volatile. His temper was insane and he was always one step away from blowing up. If you have ever known anyone in your life who is like that, you know that it is exhausting to be around that person.

I used to have this friend who was a really great guy 90% of the time. Seriously he was always the life of the party, to this day he is still the biggest ladies man I have ever known. The guy just had all the charm you could ever want he was a super interesting guy and really fun to be around but man,,, he had such a crazy temper.

I hated going anywhere with him because I knew all it was going to take was one little thing and we were going to be into it with someone... And it wasn't just other people it was me and even his brother, those closest to him. You kinda had to walk on eggshells with the guy when he got in one of his moods.

After a while I just had to cut ties with him, even though I still think of him as a friend, it's just too exhausting to have someone around who can blow up at any time.

That's how I see this situation with Markief. He's obviously a skilled basketball players and while all his coaches and teammates swear they liked him, you could just see the distraction it had become. It gets to be like; Ok what's Markieff mad about today... I've heard multiple reports that he's even worse in practice. Can go from laughing and joking to throwing blows in a heartbeat.

So regardless of all the drama and everything else, I think it's going to be very good for the psyche of this entire organization to have him gone. It's not going to do anything to advance the progress of this team in terms of talent on the floor, but it's really

Good luck Keef. I wish you luck, you better get your issues figured out because it's a real shame the way you are letting all this other crap hinder your career.

Go Suns!

Wouldn't be surprised to see Humphries and Blair being bought out and never playing for us.

I can't believe we have any interest in keeping them beyond this year and no need to see what they have left in the tank.

Leuer and Tele have been hurt a ton, the team needs bodies out there. I doubt both get bought out. I think Humphries will probably play a bit, but both will be gone next year.

Could their salaries be used in a trade come draft time?

Hey, if they help to drive us further into the basement this season (more ping pong balls), I say play them until they can't stand any longer!!! ;)

Blair will be waived as per twitter sources. Actually source says one of the two will be waived, assume its Blair. He has baggage and is useless.

Some time might change my opinion but I'd current rank him either 2nd or 3rd on my most disliked Phoenix Suns of all time list. Sharing the title with him are Beasley and Marbury.

Marbury? Really? Even more than Horry and Cassell?

Yeah, Horry is up there for sure because of the towel but I mostly hate him as a Spur.

I couldn't stand watching Marbury and those Suns. I felt like he was one of the most overrated players... ever. He'd average 20-8 by dribbling away all but the last few second of the shot clock, then chucking up something or toss it to a teammate who had no choice but to shoot because of the clock, there by giving him an assist, then he'd go on the other and and basically not exist as a defender. Guy put up all star numbers but was nothing but empty stats, all the while proclaiming himself as the best PG in the league.

What an incredible and false exaggeration.

Marbury was also the player that was super dedicated to the team and fans...He finally thought he had found a home...and cried when he was then traded. Their are many more players worthy of hating more than Marbury. Heck, even Kidd gave his wife a smackdown...To me, that should rank him higher than Marbury in the hate category.

Whatever. He sucked. A selfish, stupid, chucking, no defense, cancer who's teams repeatedly got dramatically better as soon as they were rid of him.

I agree. Marbury was class when he played for the Suns.

I can see I'm in the minority on this one, but that is just how I feel. Watching Marbury play basketball was a miserable experience. He made his teams worse, much worse, all while being self aggrandizing, proclaiming himself elite, focusing on his own numbers... and eventually dramatically improving his team by getting himself ran out of town on a rail. It happened 4 different times in his career. It was not coincidence.

Record with Suns:

2001-02: 36-46
2002-03: 44-38
Traded 47 Games into 2003-04: 29-53 Full tank job after the trade.

They got better because of Nash and D's offense...Obviously Nash is/was better than Marbury, but hating on him is ridiculous.

For a second there I thought you were talking about Marbury... LOL. Thats what happens when somebody gets back on the nominal topic of a thread.

I think 30 and 12 is about right, too - 30 shots and 12 complaints to the refs.
