Still wont save his job.

If he was getting fired he'd have been gone already. If in 10-12 months the situation is similar, he is gone, but I'm pretty certain he is here at least until then.

I am so happy that little prick is gone from Phoenix. That pick is a pretty nice one. I am not a huge McD fan, but he is outstanding when it comes to drafting. Keep in mind that this pick will be in the same range as the picks that got us Warren and Booker.

Kardashian is decent player, and I am curious to see how he does in Phoenix.

Very happy with this trade!

I once thought Humphries would have good career (more than a journeyman) when he played for Utah.

He was below average on a team with no power forwards, so I don't have as much confidence in him as you seem to have. But I don't really care, it's Mirza and Leuer who need to step up now, not Humphries or Blair.

It better be this years pick. If KD goes there next season that pick will be garbage.

I'm happy with this. I wanted Markieff gone but not for nothing in the end. Humphries is for sure replacement-level. The draft pick is enticing considering what the Suns have done in that range, as SirStefan said. A mid-first round pick is probably the best we could hope for. Contenders would have sent back a lower pick, and a top 10 was probably too much to expect.

Hmm, not bad. Kardashian has shown flashes of being a pretty good player; don't know why he can't make it stick. Blair is gone quickly, I assume. A low lottery pick for Morris is a good return, since that's where he was drafted originally and seems to have approximately earned that position.

I agree. Is it a 2017 pick or 2016?

It's more than I thought we would get. I was concerned we would have to give up assets to get rid of him.

Well he didn't get the "pick and a good young player" but if it is THIS years #1 from the Wiz I'd say he did ok.

I think that was under the belief that the pick was in the mid-late 20's. I don't anyone expected a lotto pick. Good work by McD waiting till the last minute.

How are any of us now going to live with our favorite player gone....

Seriously though, a lottery pick considering the circumstances is pretty good.

Now, the big question is: Is their a player coming out in this year's draft that is supremely worthy of the 1st overall pick? If so, the Suns are in a great position to move up...If not, then they've got some great picks available to draft or trade for more pieces to the puzzle.

Its so rare that teams move up into the top 2. Thats where the Suns want to be. But this 10-16 range pick makes this draft sooo much more interesting. These players are projected to be available in that area or could fall to that area:

1. Sabonis
2. Ellenson
3. Rabb
4. Buddy Hield

Plus, there will be trade options. Knight, Leuer, Tucker, and even Warren will be available along with picks to move up or down or pick up a player. Lots and lots of options.

Simmons and that's it.

This upcoming draft is going to be trash.

Humphries best suited to be a backup 5 but with Chandler and Len he will likely play some 4

Humphries and Blair are just bodies will be surprised if Blair plays at all just an undersized 5 with no athleticism.

I am very excited about this upcoming draft. The last one was not supposed to be very good and there are some excellent players out of it. I am just hoping that Sabonis is available. The kid has fantastic rebounding and defensive instincts. He can defend inside and out. He plays with passion and energy. Doesn't take plays off. Has some of the best footwork I have ever seen in a player that young. He is a great passer. He is also strong, with a great frame to add more strength. He is also the son of a great player, and that seems to make a differency when you are looking at players like Curry, Thompson, and others.

I am just thrilled if we can add him in this draft. He is the type of facilitating big man that makes a huge difference on a team. Imagine adding Ingram and Sabonis.

Oh, I am so glad not to be talking about Markieff anymore. From now on, when his name is mentions, mentally its "who?"

The trade solidified our own draft pick but it probably lifts Washington into playoffs with Bulls, Heat and Pistons all sliding. Even so I'm still euphoric... addition by subtraction is just so much fun.

This upcoming draft is going to be trash.

Ingram is just as good a prospect as Simmons.

This draft will surprise people, it is strong for international prospects, strongest international draft in years according to DX so good opportunity for draft and stash guys.

At #12 you could get players like

Denzel Valentine http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Denzel-Valentine-58739/
Buddy Hield http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Buddy-Hield-58749/
Timothy Luwawu http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Timothe-Luwawu-68219/
Skal Labissiere http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Skal-Labissiere-71664/
Ivan Rabb http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Ivan-Rabb-7245/
Domatas Sabonis http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Domantas-Sabonis-62889/

Denzel Valentine is currently listed as a 6'6 SG but he could maybe be a SF in the NBA too. Anyway I think he is a stud and I wouldn't mind getting him at #12 eventhough he is a senior. 20ppg 7rpg 8apg for a 6'6sg shooting 45%from 3 also.. that is impressive.

Humphries is a team option as well, does not matter though, highly doubtful that the Suns can efficiently spend their caproom anyway.
