Giving up wide open 3 points shots to the Mavs isn't the recipe for holding a lead. :(

Nor is giving up offensive rebounds but we were doing that when we got the lead.

if we win this game, im waiting for your "told you so" thread about the starters that started todays game.:D
Why, why, why are you making it about the posters rather than about the Suns?

I am thrilled that we held the Mavs, a good team, to a season low of 17 points in the 1st quarter.

It's about the game.

1st quarter offense - 26. 1st quarter defense - 17. Vs. the Mavs. The new look Suns.

I'll betcha Nash feels like a kid again not having to carry deadwood in the 1st quarter. He's had quite a load on his shoulders trying to make his system work.

How about Childress joining the starters with good play and giving Hill a rest during the first quarter? It looks like he's ready to move past Petrus when he returns.
Chili wants more playing time, I hope he gets it.
Carter is "gimpy" now? More like butthurt about not starting.:D

So, if whatever improvement we made by starting Gortat and Dudley is lost when the bench unit featuring Carter and Lopez is on the floor, then what have we gained?

And now the downside of starting Gortat and Dudley, a sucky second unit
They'll be back and rested by the 6-minute mark.

And they'll be better equipped to go head-to-head with the Mavs when the game is on the line.

Fresher starters at the end of the close games my man. :raccoon: we are still winning right now.

Suns shooting 52%, Mavs shooting 26% yet the Suns lead only by 7. That looks like trouble when the Mavs actually start to hit some shots.

OMG that's like the 1st time I have seen Gentry get fir up and yell at the team.

I seriously am impressed by Gentry. I might actually take myself off the "fire Gentry" wagon...
