I'm excited, but I think the Suns didn't improve from last season.

They may have taken a step back without a replacement for Crowder.

Very true. I can't say I'm as excited as the start of last season coming off the Finals appearance and seemingly getting better in the offseason. This offseason, so far we're worse if we're being honest. The biggest reason being the Crowder situation thus far.

Today on local sports radio they basically talked more Cards news and situations than Suns. I know it's the NFL, but the first game of the season for the Suns was virtually a black out on all other sports in the valley.

You're fortunate. I'm a hair-unstylist and have been doing my wife's hair since just before Covid went pandemic. I'd like to say I'm getting better at it but that will have to remain an unsupportable rumor.

It's the same forwards we had last season plus Dario and minus Crowder.

That's not really a huge difference.

I understand it feels worse than that, but it really isn't.

We also lost McGee who may be kicking our arses tonight. That was a significant loss too. I like Lenny Loosejocks, but he doesn't play with the same edge. Mavs got better, we got worse. At least that's what it looks like now.

I am really conflicted about how I am feeling. Part of me is excited to see how the guys come back from what happened in the playoffs, seeing who is improving and how much... but a part of me is really worried that chemistry isn't gonna be the same, that guys will not have enough motivation, etc.

I haven't been this nervous about a season-opener in... probably ever.
