The Suns are just out of sync right now guys! I'm telling you they'll come around. The team we're watching now isnt the same team you'll see in a month or too. The just have to ride this storm out!

Amare is showing flashes right now. I feel he'll be back STRONG.

I just fear the whole putting themselves in too deep a hole and crawling their way out all season and being exhausted come playoff time as a 6 seed. We ain't gonna win our division - the Clippers are freaking tough, especially with a 4 game lead.

I actually liked D'Antoni's rotations tonight. He took a big gamble taking Nash out with 6 minutes to go in the 4th (as well as Amare) but that in itself didn't cost us the game. Overall, the lineups were pretty good.

Jalen looked pretty damn good, maybe as time goes on he can be a really good player in the system.

The Suns do not play any defense... the Suns do not play any defense... the Suns do not play any defense. :barf:

Also the Suns do not have one legitimate big man that can stop a player like Dirk or even slow him down. The Suns poor rebounding only exasperates the problem.

The Suns may hopefully get the win problem corrected, however, the Suns definitely need an interior defender with some height to get this ship righted long term.

Maybe it wouldn't have helped, but I would have liked to see Jumaine Jones try to guard Dirk. He couldn't have done any worse. The Suns have no answer to the Odoms, Brands, Boozers, Duncans and the Dirks of the world.

i want to know where that 7-2 winning streak is coming from all of a sudden. It's like people don't realize that we're atrocious right now -like the ridiculous Cardinals fans who look at the second half of the schedule and somehow see 4-4 or 5-3... I see 3 definite wins, 4 maybe, but 5 pretty tough games and considering we're atrocious right now, I don't know how that equals a 7-2 run. Can someone explain please?

What I don't like about the schedule excuse is that teams like the Spurs and Mavericks should be fearing the Suns, not the other way around. Even when the Suns are playing well, we expect them to lose to the other good teams in the conference. They just aren't intimidating to the truly elite, and never have been.

that's fantastic and all... for the future. I was just hoping the future was now and right now the present freaking stinks to high heaven. You can't dig yourself too deep of hole when you play in the Western Conference - why can't YOU GET THAT?!

Well Amare has always been intimidating and he's getting back to that point again. When he gets back it will be like Jerry Sloan used to say...."The Suns took away our will to win"

who cares what Jerry Sloan says? I'm more worried about the Spurs who could care less what the Suns do or how "intimidating Amare is" as they steamrolled us out of the playoffs even though we had homecourt advantage.

The coach called them out for being soft. Let's hope the message gets through and they start improving

1-6 Great start!

Even a 0-4 Mavs beat us. Amazing.

What went wrong? I have not watched any single game yet but that Spurs' game looked great and yet slipped away... (as usual when fighting against Spurs)

This team is loaded with too many weapons and not enough "shields" IMO.

Exactly! So why care now if we're losing?? The only thing that counts is the Suns making the playoffs and having momentum at the end of the season.

I'm curious to see how the Suns dig themselves out of the hole they're in. If they truly are champion material they'll bounce back.

The Suns winning a bunch of games in the regular season hasnt put rings on their fingers. Maybe overcoming adversity might give them the fuel they need.

that's what I'm worried about - not making tthe playoffs per se, but coming in with a horrific seed in a very tough conference. It's not gonna be like the Heat who played in a two-team conference and got a 2 seed playing crap on the way to the Conference Finals. We end up as the 6 or 7 seed, we're looking at going through the Clippers, Mavs/Utah AND the Spurs... that just ain't gonna happen with ZERO home-court.

championship teams actually play SOME semblance of defense. We play NO semblance of defense... whatsoever.

I have not followed the player movements at all but judging from the lineup, Suns made too many moves IMO. Now they just added Jalen Rose? He is another guy that has all the offense but no defense. Didn't he give Kobe 60 pots in 2nd half or something when he was with Raptor? I think Raja Bell can easily replace him (and he just got injured).

Diaw has not got enough playing time (or confidence I guess) and there is Kurt Thomas who plays behind probably Diaw and Amare.

I know Coach D is still trying to figure out the rotation but losing to Jazz and Lakers (Kobe-less, although Lakers seem to have better record without Kobe at this point) is not good and now they just lost to Spurs and Mavs in a row. Their confidence level must be at the lowest.... let see what Coach D and Floor General can do to cheer the team up.

I am not discouraged but I feel they made too many changes, too soon.

Champion teams have ups and downs throughout the year sometimes...
I will believe they are championship worthy team when I will see them play that way... and no tonight's game was not a 'champioship' level game with no defense, playing soft, giving them jumpers like they were open layups, turning the ball over so many times, rebounding issues...

Never said they were champion material. I said IF they are they should be able to comeback from this hole.

if you watch the game closly, you can see that boris is starting to come back :he jumped out of bounds to keep the ball in the game, he ran the floor to try to block the shoot of devin harris (two games from now he would never have been able to run as fast as devin harris). i agree he is not bringing what he bring last year. i remenber that last season at the beginning, the sets the suns play were various and everybody was trying to do the extra pass. this year we're already in playoff mode : the high pick'n'roll and quite nothing else during long stretch. leandro is the hell of a finisher but when he 's shooting on 1on1 when someone is open : it hurts the involving of the rest of the group. he is not the only one, even steve nash during the first half choose to shoot in front of a big instead of giving the ball to the open man (often jalen rose in the corner)

the defense on the pick was so horrible. i'm not an nba trainer but changing all the time is not the best way to defend the pick especially when you have mobile inside player. the other thing on defense is that the rebond is hurt by the fact that boris, kurt and amare are always helping on the shooter so they can not be at the rebound.
things will stick with time but everybody needs to do the minimun to not make the other unconfortable.

The Jalen Rose signing will come back to haunt us. We don't NEED HIM!!!!

We have Ju Jones and James Jones. Play those guys. Atleast there's some D in them.

This team is making desperate decisions. Even the decision to start Amare is desperate. I like it, but the Coach originally said we want to bring him along slowly... now they starting him. Coach D's meal ticket... Nash is over. nash is playing nice, but it's time Coach D actually coached and got the players a little more under control. I'm all for the style we play, but there are FAR too many reckless plays. Its oridary basketball to watch. When we come the floor players have just no clue of what to do (this is usually when Nash sits)

This team reminds me sooooo much of the 95 96 Suns. We lost some key parts of that team (ainge Majerle manning injured - ok thats alot) but we were never the same. We lost that edge and it was all about readjusting. Losing TT and House has been huge because the team formed such a great chemistry last season. People say E house was nothing but he was massive. This current team has been slapped together with reactive decisions rather than proactive moves. Why did we sign Jalen Rose? Sure he can play but we don't really need another SF when we have a few that sit on the bench and don't play.

I think the offense needs to be more in favor of Amare. He runs and runs but rarely gets the ball in position. When he does get the ball he puts enormous pressure on the defense. Barbs gets his points but they aren't as damaging as they should be and i think he takes away a little from the team's offense. I would rather have him come off the bench than start, granted Bell was injured i accept him as start for the time being.

The suns really need to put in on D. Its about effort and knowing where to be and how to switch. Some of the switches on d right now are down right terrible...also the rebounding is just shocking.

I liked Jr Jones effort on D. there needs to be some consistently about involving him in the offense because he's non existent.

I'm so upset over the start of the season. i knew the preseason was a big indication of how poorly we were heading. People used the excuse well now’s it's reality.

To me, it seems this team seems divided. Amare and few in one corner and Nash, Bell, Marion and a few in another. I dunno. its so tough right now to get a handle on what’s happening... every time i think of the SA or Dallas game I get pissed off and want to break something... I think i need help.

the only thing I agree with is your last sentance. There is definately a Nash, Bell, and some others v Amare.
