that's fantastic and all... for the future. I was just hoping the future was now and right now the present freaking stinks to high heaven. You can't dig yourself too deep of hole when you play in the Western Conference - why can't YOU GET THAT?!

compounding the need for the present is the fact that nash ain't getting any younger and dantoni has shown ZERO ability to be successful without nash. that's not only counting games nash has missed, but the periods of time during games during which nash sits. i think dantoni's offense is perfect . . . if it has a steve nash. every attempt we've made to find another nash to make the offense work has failed. when nash is done, i fear so will be dantoni. he hasn't shown me any ability to adapt his offense. when nash leaves the game his backups cannot run the same offense, so maybe the offense should be tweaked in those cases to run set plays (I KNOW, THE HORROR OF SET PLAYS!!!).

ugh, just so frustrating. i hate sports right now.

OMG, six games in and most of you are calling for the lifeboats! I know the old rule "women and childen first" but one of you can have my seat and you're welcome to it.

No kidding! I'd hate to be in a foxhole, lifeboat or whatever with these headless chickens!

you should not be called pokerface. you should be called ostrichface. what does it look like under the sand?

do you think nash is immortal? how long can he continue to play at this level? without his play dantoni's system is seemingly rudderless. can you cannot see this?

How is Nash' future of any relevance on this thread or this season? If the team was 5-1 would you be bringing it up, even though that problem would still exist?

YUP. We lose a few games and now they're ready to throw in the towel and put Nash out to pasture. Like uhhhh....eh?

Let me tell you....Nash could get by a few years on his brains alone! He knows how to play the game...he doesnt rely on athletism. He's not fast nor does he have hops....he can just PLAY THE GAME. Stockton lasted a long time the same way!

As it turns out, the sky is not falling. I repeat the sky is not falling.

I think most reasonable people here knew that the Suns would struggle intially as the worked in Amare and several other new components. That has happened, but as it is plain to see in the last two games, strides have been made in that regard despite the outcome.

This season is about a championship. That was most of our hopes and expectations going into this season. I also think that most of us here would agree that there can be no championship with out Amare. That said, we are going to sacrifice some wins to bring Amare back into the fold. Well we've already done some of that sacrificing, and I beleive it is starting to pay off.

The Suns will be ok.

And anyone complaining about too many additions, or the addition of Marcus Banks is a hypocrite. These are the same people that would've lambasted the Suns had they not continued to add depth or a PG.

I'm talking about the scared people in general....no one in particular!

Because I'm not gloom and doom like you I get called names? Anyone wanna take care of this?

Yes, but you wouldn't like it. :)

Seriously, maybe you don't even realize it, but it's always your way or the highway... and you do not entertain open discussion. Have you ever thought that maybe just once in your life you might be wrong?

you mean calling people out as ******* in foxholes and the hyperbole of them being crybabies which start flame wars? Yeah - someone take care of this please.

talk basketball, stay away from personal attacks and act like a civilized human being. As far as being doom and gloom - it's called reality, something you apparently have a hard processing. You want to tell me the last time a tema won the title without homecourt in AT LEAST the first round of the playoffs?

Far be it from me to build compromise or anything like that, but in reality both the negatives and positives are right.

Short term there is much reason to be concerned and the Suns have played very poorly. Particualrily concerning is the lack of chemistry, a Suns trademark.

Long term, it is an 82 game season. We are 7.31% through the season. The Suns will make the playoffs. The Suns will figure this out. It is much too early to be talking about large trades, the sky falling, etc.

Show whole conversations....be specific. People are opinionated all over the board...thats no crime.

NO ONE'S IMPLYING THEY'RE DONE ALREADY. That's the beef - people are venting frustrations and wondering how they're going to turn it around (sue them after starting out with the 2nd worst record in the league), but you projecting the absolute worst-case scenario on to them is the problem. You stretching what they're saying is the problem and to be honest is the sign of losing your argument. The hyperbole doesn't help.

One only needs to look at the Jay Williams thread to show that you cannot engage in an open conversation.

I respect and even agree with many of your opinions, however, when it come down to certain topics like microfracture, Eddie House and Jay Williams, you appear to have little tolerance for those who have differing ideas. IMO, every topic need not have a winner or a loser. Sometimes I feel you vent unfairly on those who have differing thoughts.

Little room for discussion? For who? I'm not talking to myself.....

i have yet to see anyone say they are "done." far from it. rather, people are commenting on what they have to do better. to blind yourself to those realities is just baffling to me.

People are flat out overreacting. There are numerous factors to the Suns losses right not....not all of them the Suns fault. They have a new team...the toughest schedule so far...new ball...etc etc. Yeah the Suns could definately be playing better no question but their record isnt indictative of their true strength.

Not TOO far from it:

....... "We ain't gonna win our division."

....... "1-5 - this team is going to be no higher than a 6 seed and if they don't have a magical run - KABOOM! It's blow-up time."

Sounds like 10 days into the season they're at a point where it will take nothing short of a miracle for the Suns to go anywhere in the next five months. I disagree, and I hate Kool Aid.
