Now we are in the it doesn't matter at QB. Why not just stay with Stanton, Gabbert and what's his name. I can almost see where Bradford could be a good choice if he signed a cheap deal as long as we drafted our guy then if he got hurt mid-season we just put in the rookie. To me it's time to draft our guy and use the money to improve the rest of the team. We are going to have at least one bad season if for nothing else it will take the team at least half the season to get the new systems down. It's better to build for the long haul.

I would be happy with Stanton or Gabbert at QB for half the season and then put the rookie in for the rest so he can learn and be ready for 2019.

Dark times ahead.

Only one dip season if we draft the right QB. If he's got the goods, we're ready to go for the next five years.

Sometimes you gotta take a step back to take two steps forward. Just like the Eagles/Rams did.

Man that is a big IF. They haven't shown the ability yet to identify and draft a good QB since Plummer.

agree... and even disagree on Plummer.

But they've really only taken one shot with a high pick since '98 (jesus... that was 20 YEARS AGO?) when they took Leinart.

We haven't gone QB early for more than a decade. That's led to two separate back to back playoff appearances with some golden oldies at QB, with ugliness in between. Time to see if we go with talented youth can change the tide.
