And I am still incredulous that so many of you are willing to roll the dice with Leinart when next year he could force his way out of town as Antrel Rolle did. To me that would be a wasted year, and a year prepping him for his next gig.

1. A 14 mill contract for a good staring QB(IF he proves as such) is not an amount that would force him out of town like Rolle.

2. You would be doing the same exact thing with McNabb, the most innacurate starting QB the last 10 years who has never played in any other system but a west coast offense, who is on only a one year contract.

I think this time the rumors have some merit, and I think that it's very possible McNabb winds up in the NFC West, and if he does, he is head and shoulders better than any QB in the division.

When you think of what Whiz did with a 37 year old Kurt Warner, imagine what he could do with McNabb, especially with the talent McNabb would be surrounded by in Arizona.

McNabb didn't get his team to numerous NFC Championships by a fluke. The man can play. And it's quite possible, if a coach can refine certain aspects of his game, as Whiz did with Warner, that McNabb could have a best season ahead of him.

Plus, I think that McNabb will feel totally liberated when he is unfettered from the incessant and brutal Philly scrutiny.

.... and many of us think it's incredible that you want the team to simply walk away from Leinart given the time and investment they've made in his apprenticeship.

(You've made it clear that Whiz could not be so stupid as to start Matt come September... So, we won't be waiting long on the announcement that McNabb is coming to AZ.)

If Whiz traded the #26 for McNabb, I'd be happy. for sure, as long as a 3-4 year deal was in place. How do you think Larry Fitzgerald would feel about that news? Or Darnell Dockett? Dockett would be tweeting" "Birdgang Back to the Show in 2010!"

Throw up a poll. Would you trade our #26th pick to Philly for McNabb?

We'll see what others have to say. And not being on a first name basis with either Fitz or Darnell, I have no idea what they think now, and would be rather more interested in their views after the 2010 season.

In STL on ESPN Radio 101.1 that has Demarco Farr its being stated that the Eagles are wanting to trade either McNabb or Kolb. They also stated that the Cardinals where snooping around too. I told my self what the hell so i started to listen more intensivly and yes that what was stated by Randy Karraker and Farr. They where talking about the pro and cons and that the cardinals better not get McNabb.

McNabb to the Lambs for a #2 & Atogwe. Wow!!! Just heard on NFL Network. The Rams could get competetive in a hurry adding Mcnabb & Suh.

we should try to get in on this in a hurry IMO. if STL get him it could be a little bit harder for us to win the west

Dont know if it is true or not.

ORLANDO, Fla. _ St. Louis Rams general manager Billy Devaney said reports Wednesday by the Philadelphia media that St. Louis was offering its second-round pick and safety Oshiomogho Atogwe for Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb: “Absolutely false.”
Devaney added: “It’s utterly ridiculous. I haven’t talked to Philadelphia about any of their players.”

When theres smoke, theres fire!!! Doesn't mean it will happen, but if the Iggles are sold on Kolb they have to trade someone & that someone would likely be McNabb. Vick doesn't net you much while McNabb is a proven starter who has 1 year left on his contract.

If we traded for McNabb (which I doubt) would the Hawks still take Leinart even though they traded for Whitehurst?

That's the $10M question.

Pete: Sorry, Charlie, Matt's THE GUY.

Matt needs to know this...otherwise he will "flounder."
