0-24 for Goldy is not a decline, it is a slump. This is not his new average, it is a slump, period. To say he is declining suggest he will continue to decline. No, he is in a slump and will improve, maybe not to his MVP candidate days, but he will improve from this dismal slump. It has happened in baseball many times.
