What a joke of a team. Sad to see.

Ahmed strikes out for the third time tonight. I'll say it again. He should not be facing righty pitchers.

Avila, who is pinch hitting, is now 1 for 25 for May, with all those strikeouts.

I can't imagine a Major League ballplayer making out 24 times in 25 official at-bats midway through the month.

Game over, thankfully.

I think the whole Goldy thing has become a monster and is bringing the entire team down. I’d like to see what would happen if Goldy went on the DL for a couple of weeks.

Just think where we'd be now if . . .

-- we hadn't lost Souza and Lamb to injury
-- we hadn't lost two starting pitchers we planned on
-- Goldschmidt and Avila had provided the power we expected

It is amazing that we have been in 1st place as long as we have,
thanks to the starting pitchers we do have
And the big 3 closing relievers
And Pollock, Peralta and Descalzo, and now we have lost Pollock

As I've posted, I have come to realize that the humidor only brings up the humidity to what other parks are.

I think that encouraging the lineup to uppercut pitch after pitch is the culprit. Even power hitters should pick their pitches.

Sure it’s the same as every other park now but it’s not the same as Chase field last year.

1-1 game in the top of the sixth. Milwaukee had 2 on and 2 out, then a Grienke strikeout. He just went over 100 pitches.

Is anyone else watching?

A D-backs win tonight would be the icing on the cake -- of the Suns being #1 pick in the NBA draft. Deandre Ayton, the young Center of the decade, if not longer. And a former UofA player.

Watching. Having CO in the lineup every night will hurt. Souza still hasn't helped much yet either.

It won't happen, but I would like to see an outfield of, in addition to Peralta and Souza, Christian Walker, who is coming back up from the Minors. Give him a chance.

I think we need RBI guys more than stellar fielding in the OF. They have the potential to drive in more runs than they let in. Especially with Goldy not. Driving in runs is our weakness and that is the number on the scoreboard that counts.

But, as I said, it won't happen. Torey will take the safe approach of singles hitters replacing Pollock's team leading bat.

Mr. Clutch, Daniel Descalso with a 2-out RBI in the 8th and the D-backs lead 2-1.
