You have really low standards for a "pass." That pass was bad for anyone.

most Punters throwing their first pass in the NFL shouldn't be expected to throw anything but bad. Most of their passes usually are. Problem is our bad punter not only had to make the pass, but he was throwing to a self-admittedly out of shape 3rd string TE who has mediocre speed to begin with... and they had to get 16 yards out of it.

I doubt Dirk throws it that poorly when that play is practiced, or Whis would have tore that page out of the book.

throwing in practice... eh, this is pointless. Our own coach said it was a bad decision, we didn't come close to coverting and the play was perfectly snuffed out by a spy who wasn't fooled at all. I don't know why you can't just say "yeah, it was probably the wrong call at the wrong time".

I don't know how everything else in that quote doesn't point to him saying it was a bad call for anything other than it not working.

I think the part where he says he didn't understand the distance well enough for that was the most damning part of the quote. I noticed that was the part you managed to not quote.

Anyhow, he'll keep calling them, and I'll agree with some and not with others. I'll make sure to say I thought one that worked was a bad call whenever it comes up.

:safe:

I managed not to quote that because it was already quoted in what I was responding to, and all assumptions were being based off of it.

I didn't need to provide that quote because I was providing all the context around it that was being left out. I didn't need to provide it because it was already provided and was the reason I added the rest.

Since Calais Campbell was originally signed by Miami to play TE the Cards should use CC as the receiver if they ever try that play again. I know he's faster than than Tuman and the Panthers DB would have just bounced off him.
