The 1998 Cards earned the nickname Wild Cards. What NFL record did they set?

I had a shirt from that season that said wildcards. Had pictures of playing cards. Bought it when they made the playoffs.

I remember buying them on my way out of the stadium after the San Diego game. I thought that was pretty bold of them, to have those there all printed up. I still have two.

We should make some "1997 - 2007: 10 year Anniversary since our last playoff appearance" shirts.

correct: Most wins by three points or less during a season 7 of the 9.

One More: Name the former QB from Missouri the Cards drafted with their top pick in 1977.

Actually I thought they were nicknamed the Cardiac Cards?
The 1974 Cardinals were nicknamed the "Cardiac Cards". They went 10-4 & won the NFC East. Unfortunately, they lost at Minnesota in the 1st round. Minnesota was the #1 seed & went on to the Super Bowl, but were beaten by the Steelers.

Trivia: In which game in the 90's did I not only bring my wife to (her only one), I also almost got kicked out during an altercation with a cowboys fan and came *this close* to beating him senseless?

1997?

Dallas beat the Cards at SDS in 1998. That was the last regular season game the Cowboys ever won at Sun Devil Stadium. :koolaid:

Which 1st round pick as a DT for the St Louis Football Cards had an uncle that was Secretary of Agriculture under Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford?

I remember this being mentioned but cannot recall the name. Give us the answer please/

Dave Butz.

Ding Ding. Correctamundo! I was so #@**&#@ mad when he left to go to those sorry 'skins too! Do you recall how he left the Cards after only 2 yrs? What did he do sign a 2 yr contract or something? I vaguely recall the Cards getting a #1 draft pick for him but they didn't trade him to the 'skins IIRC.
