I can't see it as a surprise if one of Wells or Highertower gets traded.

The only moves that would shock me is if we traded DD, Wilson or Fitz.

Steve Breaston would shock me.. Can we even trade him?

On Doug and Wolfe this morning they mentioned Darryl Washington instead of DRC. Forget where they got this rumor..perhaps related to SI, perhaps not. FWIW

Yup, Gambo and Ash as well at Bickley and MJ both talked about it yesterday too. Eagles want Darryl Washington now. LB is the biggest need on this team right now aside from QB and the market is thin, no thank you. There are other QB's out there.

Ouch, no. I really don't want us to trade Washington.

I am reserving judgement on Kolb... he may turn out great, he may turn out terrible and I'm willing to take a chance. However, I think Washington has nothing but upside and I'd like to see him get to play under Horton.

Since the draft, my thought has been that Philly will be offered a 2nd round pick and a choice of Beanie or Hightower. Yes... the could use a DB or LB, but, they also could use a upgrade in the backup to Shady McCoy.

I like Washington but I'd rather much give him up than DRC. Besides trading a ILB for a potential top 15 QB is a no-brainer.

I would to, the problem is that we are playing a 3-4 and Washington is the only LB of the future on the roster IMO.

Schofield!! :)

Well, I guess you could include him.....

We hasn't shown anything yet though. Make that 2 down to 1 if we trade Washington. Still doesn't sound all that assuring.

Agree. So little depth on the team, Beanie or Hightower are the ones I wouldn't mind seeing traded.

True about OBScho, but he is the dreaded.....potential.

I am simply not willing as a fan to mortgage the future for Kolb...If the team gives up Washington then we only have one person on this team to have hope for the future at LB, maybe two...but this would create an even bigger hole than DRC's departure...

I tell eagles 2nd in 2012 with a 2nd or 3rd in 2013 or they can kiss off...

Teams aren't even talking...how are all these dumb rumors made up.

We are not trading Washington.

It'll be a pick or nothing. Hightower or Wells are the only avail players for trade.

Adrian Wilson and Steve Breaston for Kolb. I'd do that in a minute.

Then I'd sign Sidney Rice as a FA. I think that because of Fitz our WR corps is way overrated and Breaston and Roberts are just run of the mill WRs that could easily be replaced.

Wilson is at the end of his career. At his age and with his injury and coverage issues it would be a smart move to use him to get a young QB. Sure we'd all like to see him retire a Cardinal but not if we have to endure a string of 5-11 seasons to do so.

What if it was just Daryl Washington for Kolb?

I know that I would say yes in a second.

Sturdivant (Washington) can replace Washington (Dansby). We wouldn't miss Daryl (Karlos) at all.

This.

3-4 ILBs like Washington are easy to get and develop fairly quickly. We wouldn't be starting over that much. Besides, you can get a guy like James Anderson or Thomas Davis (both CAR), Mike Peterson (ATL), or Paul Posluzny and plug him in there. Heck, you could keep Paris Lenon at that position and your depth is a little more challenged (Although I think that Sturdivant is a better fit in at spot anyway) and get one of the bigger ILBs to play on the strongside and be all right.

Breaston isn't under contract and likely won't be under a new CBA. Not sure why the Eagles would want him because I don't think he'd rank among their top three or maybe four WRs. Wilson's not going anywhere as he's a Whis guy.

Not sure why the Eagles would want Beanie. Hightower makes some sense because he's an RFA, but you can't have Beanie making more money as a first-rounder than McCoy. Even with Hightower you'd probably have to toss in a second-round pick to make the deal come together, but that'd be fair value to me.
