In a van...down by the river.
What incredible waste of talent. IMO, he could have had a long career as a star in the NBA if it wasn't for his Nose Candy habit. Not to mention we could have had Rodman as a result of that failed trade.

He was never the same after his stint in rehab. When he came back he lacked confidence and seemed like mentally he was never the same.
Dumas.....:bang:....incredible talent. I'll never forget the first time i saw him play(on TV) . He checked in off the bench and just immediately went to work(i think it was against the Lakers in the Forum).
Dumas was aggressive, making plays on both ends of the floor. I looked to my friend and literally said "Who is this guy?"

What a team that '92/'93 squad was....losing Ced Ceballos to injury in the WCF was a brutal loss. We desperately missed his offensive rebounding and putbacks vs Chicago. That 1-2 punch of Dumas/Ceballos @ SF was a beautiful thing.

The Heat and Knicks would disagree.

Not even close. That was a full out brawl. There were no punches thrown or anything of the sort in the Suns/Spurs game. In fact, it was a model of restraint. The league should show the tape of how the Suns responded as a model of what teams SHOULD do in that situation.

The Heat/Knicks brawl occurs about the 8 min mark.

I hear you mojo. Oliver Miller was also good at the time, but the Ceballos injury really hurt the Suns vs the Bulls in the finals. Seems we always have injuries or other altercations when we have a good shot at a championship.

Dumas was an instant favourite of mine. I saw that Laker game, you're right, it was at the Forum and Dumas put in something like 17 points on a mix of offensive moves. I still have fond memories of him playing that year.

I do not remember who was suspended for that fight, but I think players that left the bench who did not fight or helped restrain players were suspended as well.

The irony behind the rule is that it was implemented as a result of the famed Knicks/Suns brawl.

The sale of the team to Robert Sarver, final answer (for me).

Correct. But there was still a fight. There was no fight in the Suns/Spurs game.

Irony, its the Suns future GM (Steve Kerr) who first catches Amare taking a few steps away from the bench and starts talking about a suspension and Greg Anthony also weighs in--the guy who sucker punched KJ and and started the whole mess.

I loved having Jerry as the decision maker in Phoenix but I had no particular concerns regarding Sarver at the time. Certainly, in hindsight it moves way up the list but people age, people decline in health and people move on. For all I knew, Sarver could have been another Cuban (Mark not Fidel).

Stop it!!! You're making my blood boil. I'm a peace loving guy but it's a good thing Greg Anthony never crossed my path (a good thing for me most likely). I already hated the guy from his UNLV days so his cheap shot was just more mud in my face.
