Funny how Chris Wallace's ineptitude had NO bearing on the Lakers beating Dallas on the road and blowing out Utah on the unwinnable home court of the Jazz in back to back games. Oh yeah, that was the Pau-and-Bynum-less Lakers led by Kobe that did that. And also led the West before the Pau trade, and then led it afterwards, and then won the Pacific, and then won the west and the number one seed. Oh, and on the way beat the Suns 3-1 in the season series despite 'Antoni's arrogance and "run run run" philosophy.

Go make some more bad hip-rap, please. The world is staaaarving for it.

you mad ?

dirk gets contact on just about every play he touches the ball. I think most star players especially ones that iso....get a lot of contact. I think they all deserve the credit that they earn. If kobe wins a ring this year I won't discount it regardless of the foul calling.

Dirk gets some contact, but he isn't a guy who drives that much. His fall-back j is money though. I haven't seen a more unblockable shot since Kareem was raining skyhooks. It is unreal.

But he doesn't get the interior contact that Kobe or even Amare gets with no-calls.

The refs hold their whistles for extraordinary players, most often guards. Iverson is another. Shot will be in the air, foul already happened but if it goes in, no call. If it rattles off, the whistle blows. IMO, that is the most BS reffing in the league, and it happens all. the. time.

I agree...and just about on every iso play whether dirk drives or not really just depends on who's guarding him.....there is contact and it cannot always be called. but I understand what your are saying totally.

Come on man, catch the Cards fever! Once you get it, you will never let go...it's like getting kicked in the junk every day, but somehow you enjoy it.

BTW, I think all your posts addressed to me make up 1/4 of your total post count! :D

I'll get you to be a season ticketholder for the Cards yet...but you have an eternity to go to get me on the Suns bandwagon. ;)

Hey Rocca, check out my boys from NY...these guys are nice..mix hop crew. I had them play the Playboy Mansion and got them on a couple of video game tracks...they got orders off cdbaby from that stuff, from as far out as Japan.

Their new stuff on the myspace is ok, their older stuff is tight though. I love these guys though...they are hard workers out there, grabbing gigs where they can. If I ever get the cash, I want to push them out. They do some varied ish...very talented.

Add 'em to your myspace and tell them I sent you along. Good guys. Check the "Infectious remix"

I know CP3 is a very humble guy, but I would take this snub to heart and just dominate the competition, even though he has been doing that all season.

which goes to show that the mvp is a team award....as everyone says. the past five years kobe has played well and even better in prior years. now the first instance kobe has a winning contending team....he wins.

I agree with both you and Donald on this one. What is even more infuriating to me is the early anticipated whistle where its blown because they see the contact comming yet the player makes a great move to avoid it yet its too late... the wistle has blown.

i think it's funny that Donald doesn't realize that he's basically Andrew, just 15 years older, talking about gushing explosions because of a "cool off these guns into the airplane" move, while then following it up with tales of Kobe Bryant's long lost interview with Brooke Shields, or something ridiculous like that.

Except that Donald wouldn't have become a Bulls fan if Kobe had been traded to Chicago.

Donald was a Laker fan before Kobe and he will be after Kobe retires, unlike Andrew who is only a Shaq-jocker and nothing more.

And I think it's funny what a self righteous prick you can be. Who gives a rats ass what you think? All you do is post criticisms of the way other people act and the way other people post, like you're so damn perfect. Why don't you worry about not being an ass yourself before you go attacking other people?

I still think Chris Paul deserved more (stats are there, his stats are better,he made his teammates better,Kobe had more help)but probably decision-makers thought "CP is a young kid that will eventually get MVP,let's make sure Kobe has one..".

It seems like this year's award is given to Kobe's contributions to basketball and his career, not for this specific year.

I would be lying if I said I like the way MVP is done, I don't. I think there are a ton of things wrong with it, but none the less I'm happy Kobe finally got one.

I think both of them deserve MVP this year. In my mind, Kobe should be the MVP because he lead his team to #1 spot in the West.
