I grew up in Washington state, so I have a (literal) boatload of Seahawks fans among my friends and family.
In the midst of my post-game rants knocking them down a peg (no quarter shall be asked, for none shall be given), since the vast majority of them would actively smacktalk me (and actively root against the Cards) at various points these past few years, one of my childhood friends hit the nail on the head with a definite "moment of clarity".
"A smart man said to me "A team shouldn't be measured by wins and losses, but instead by their character and the effort they display." Baldwin's TD celebration, the fight at the end if the game, booing during the National Anthem, calling for the heads of those who have lifted the Hawks to where they are at- Seattle has some work to do."
He's a coach at East Valley High School in Yakima, Washington.
IMHO those kids are in good hands.
