You know Walter, In respect to the way Green has treated some of the players, you are absolutely right. I hope that you are wrong and he turns Arizona into a winner, but I've been reading your articles for a while and I understand you to be a very strong football mind and a very good writer, I'll miss your articles.

I do not remember us ever hiring a coach who I did not have good feelings about or at least neutral feelings about going into the season. Dennis Green is the first exception to this. I was excited at first but as he began to talk and cut I have come to think this will be one great mistake that will put us back another 3-4 years. If he last more than 2 years I will be supprised. I also guess the Bidwills and Graves are now having some second thoughts. With all that is happening our chances of getting free agents becomes even worse than it was and was as bad as you can get. Cutting Pete Kendall was stupid to say the least. Here we are with a rookie probably going to start in an offensive line that seems destined to be horrible.

1. "Waaaa, we never spend money on players!"
2. Cards spend money on players
3. "Waaaa, we never sign good players!"
4. Sign a coupld of good players
5. "Waaaa, Bill Bidwill sucks!"
6. Michael Bidwill and Rod Graves change the face of the team
7. "Waaaa, our stadium sucks!"
8. Get new stadium
9. "Waaaa, our coaches suck!"
10. Hire solid coach with proven track record
11. "Waaaa, our coach is mean/stupid/incompetent!"
12. Fire coach
13. Repeat

Appreciate your work Walter, but your jumping ship on the Cards and/or not providing your insightful football knowledge makes the board worse off.

Your last sentence, in that paragraph, speaks volumes and none in defense of your position. You were ASKED to do this. No one held a gun to your head or threatened to take away your season tix. You could just as easily ask to not do this, then you could act like a regular fan & member.

Part of my moderator agreements contain wording telling the new moderators that they are there to assist the members, to direct the members and to answer their questions. It also states that if you have issues with a member, they should be worked out, in private.

In other words, a moderator has to be heavy on PR, light on emotion, both attributes contrary to being a fan.

In the end, and on the surface, it may appear that your actions and moods aren't adversely affecting the site. But since there are no exit interviews here, you'd be rather hard pressed to make a claim that you weren't affecting the decisions of others to stay, go or never participate in the first place.

If you want to be a fan, fine. If you want to be a mod, wonderful. But you cannot publicly be both, when someone says something contrary to your opinion, but within the rules of a community.[/IMHO]

- Saying that Marcel Shipp is reminiscent of Priest Holmes last season.
- The continuous insistence that the Cards not only had the personnell to run an effective 3-4 defense, but ought to use it as our base.
- His championship of Jason Goss, the 5'10", 186 lbs cornerback who has appeared in 4 games in his career, and notched one tackle.
