Manning had it down to two teams and they both FAILED

I have no idea how or why they failed, but they FAILED

or he wouldn't be meeting with the Titans

I can not believe they messed this up!!!

...ya'll can lie all you want about it's not over....but had they done the great job...he wouldn't still be looking.

Manning didn't throw for Denver and took plenty of time throwing to Fitz and Roberts....shows he was very interested
Did Russ Grimm scare him with the horrible O-line protection?
Did Roberts run too slow...drop passes
Did Fitz leaving the interview to catch a stupid flight matter...

IDK - but as a season ticket holder I can not believe how angry I am.

Watch the titles - I changed it to show it is your opinion.

Irrelevant. He's not going to their facilities, and simply meeting with head coaches.

He's doing his due diligence; he's NEVER been a free agent.

No need to get angry or excited until something actually happens.

MESA! :thud:
Not when the title makes it sound like something has been finalized, or is misleading.

that's cool, but isn't 90% of every topic opinion....we could change all of them to : my opinion - xyxyxyxyxyxyxyxyxyxyxyx

For this situation, when everyone is clamoring for info that is fact-based, a thread that is opinion needs to be pointed out.

;)

Why should he hurry? I don't think him waiting another few days and exploring all of the options is damning at all.

If he lets Kolb's deadline come and go, then the jig is up for AZ, but until then, I think we're still very much in the hunt.

He's a legend in Tennessee and their owner went public in his pursuit of Peyton. A courtesy visit seems appropriate. Also, we may not get Manning but I think it's absurd to present it as a screw-up on management's part.

How do you even know he threw to Fitz and Roberts??? I mean why would he throw? I guess unless someone has a cam in Manning's house then none of us know anything. It is people trying to use anything as a tell.

But I am shocked Denver even is in the picture...Tebow won a playoff game and their fan base was like Tebow is God....Denver wont be better than a 9win team with Manning...they are WAY over hyping their defense. Denver played bad offenses ...look what New England did to them in 2 games. approx 98 points!

i think he would prefer playing for cardinals..in denver the waether is too cold and with health issues doesnt sound good for him to play in a frozen outdoor stadium,he likes to play in a dome and especially with grass..he want to live ina quite place and arizona is the best place for that...i heard he was really bothered by fans and journalists in these days in florida so..

While we are on the subject, My opinion:

Change the title of the "Gambo just tweeted Hearing Peyton to Arizona" thread to something else like "March 11: Gambo....".

I read that a few minutes ago and it gave me the wrong impression.

I think they lost it when

Whis invited Grimm over to the first dinner and showed he didn't know the difference between zone and drive blocking, and topped it off by making fun of Archie as a QB;

Or

When PM was forced to sit in the front of SUV and Whiz didn't allow him to drive;

Or

That PM was forced to carry his own bag;

Or

That Michael Bidwill arrived one hour late for the meeting;

Or

That Fitz left at noon for a planned trip to Australia. (I mean... talk about a selfish thing to do!)

Or

Maybe its when John Lott cut a fart in the meeting with Coaches!

With your 'opinion' there is no reason to ever play the second half of a football game. This is a good time to relax and wait for Peyton to make his decision.

There's no reason for PM to NOT take his time. And from what we've heard, no actual offers have been made. Once the Kolb, Flynn, and Smith dominoes start to fall, maybe there will be pressure on him to decide. But even then I imagine any of the interested teams will be as accommodating as they can.

It's probably worse news for Denver being that Tenn and Miami are in the AFC. I don't blame him for talking to the coaches and getting a feel. Why shouldn't he, just because the Cards are involved. No matter what happens the Cards haven't failed. He's making a personal decision.

Any failures by the Cardinals in this situation, happened well before Manning was ever a free agent.

You can't make your front office, and organization look competitive over 3 or 4 days.

Manning may have fallen for the look of lipstick on a pig, but I guess nothing masks the smell.

I actually couldn't be happier with the Cards' effort in this ridiculous chase. We were one of two teams to bring in arguably the biggest free agent in NFL history for a visit. A 6.5 hour visit, plus dinner the night before. I'm not sure what else can be expected.

As a Chicago Bulls fan, this is starting to remind me a lot of the Lebron FA situation. Many believed the Bulls were the most logical landing spot for Lebron if he wanted the best chance to win. Conversely, a lot of people questioned his fit in Miami, much like they are with Manning in Denver. Well, we all know how that situation turned out. I think the Manning ordeal will end in a similar manner. The allure of a legend like Elway (similar to Pat Riley's draw) will win out over common sense, and Peyton will sign with the Broncos. But I won't blame the Cards for not getting him, much like I didn't blame the Bulls for missing out on Lebron. You can only do so much to recruit a player. The rest is up to them. I believe the Cards did everything in their power to get Peyton here. It simply looks like he's choosing to go in another direction. That's not failure. It's just how it is.
