Went to the Red and White practice Saturday, here's what I took away....

- Paris Lenon looks GOOD. Whiz isn't giving us lip service (does he ever), Lenon looks quick because he is always a step ahead it seems. Stuffed Hightower on one of the goal line carries. I would take a ILB core of Lenon/Washington because I think Hayes is done with his back.

- Dockett is a man possessed. I am so incredibly excited for him this season. His motor is non-stop and he is playing for wins, not money. We need to reward him with the $$$$$$

- Leinart looked shaky at times when the pass pro broke down, but thats not entirely his fault. His arm strength is WAY improved, but still needs to work on at worst overthrowing long throws instead of trying to be too perfect and sometimes underthrowing the receivers.

- Anderson is a good backup, NOT a starter. Anyone who thinks that Anderson has a shot at unseating Leinart clearly has not seen Anderson play since '07, because i was very unimpressed.

-Joey Porter brings tons of energy to the defense, and I think he and Haggans are due for a big year.

- Didn't get to see Mcbride play because he was hurt, but I was impressed with Toler and as Cody would say, DRC was a god.

- Stephen Williams looked awesome, he has to make the team. Roberts looked very fast but needs to work on being more under control on his routes IMO. For those wondering, Mougey looked terrible.

My short take on this season....

I think we hold off the Niners THIS year, but need to watch out next year for these reasons...

1. They are starting two rookies on the offensive line, while we went out and got a 7 time pro bowler in Alan Faneca.

2. Everyone talks about the reason we will give up the division because Leinart is our qb now. While Leinart really hasn't been given his chance to prove himself, Alex Smith has. Label me unimpressed.

3. Every player they have that is supposed to make a difference we have at least one player to match him.

Willis- Dockett
J. Smith- Campbell
they have no safety to mess with Wilson/Rhodes.
Gore- Beanie/HT
Crabtree- Fitz

I think we go 10-6 and they go 8-8, just like last year

I cannot wait to play the Cardinals' offense without Warner and Boldin--so exciting. Also, a defense that gave up like 100 points in two games in the playoffs. Crabtree will take that scrawny-non-tackling-show boating dude DRC to school and back.

Don't you have your own training camp to pay attention to, BLOW HARD?

Our "D" gave up a lot of points in the playoffs... no doubt. But, it was against Rogers and Brees and more than a few injuries came into play. Nobody, but perhaps you... would confuse your QB with those two.

We were 7 and 1 with Boldin out of the lineup, and we'll see who goes to the Pro Bowl... DRC or Crabtree.

I'm looking forward to watching your rookie O-lineman get schooled by Dockett and Campbell.

I was at the Fri and Saturday Cards practices and scrimmage. I will have a full write ups on pro football central soon. Matt was not at the elite level I projected live. He has decreased from his rookie season. I hope It is temporary, His 2500+ yards in 11 games as a rookie projected to 4000 as a 16 game starter, He is safe with the ball opposite of Plummer, his spectacular will not reach Warner level but I don't see as many multiple int/fumble games killing the rest of the team 4 games a year either,
In matty's defense Derek Anderson had his best practice in the scrimmage, but they were nearly all check downs, Matts misses was all long balls against #1 Corners, still He must improve his decisions.
I was right on the Cards message board. Deuce is much better than Faneca and Wells, They are getting pancaked while Deuce aint being budged, And the Cards are being lead right down the toilet by Darnell Dockett, These camp fights are probably going to lead us to record personal fouls and penalties, fines for comments and generally a team character polar opposite of the Cardinals 47 fight song, unless intervention happens, The team is folowing DD and Porter not Wilson so far, and it's going to get ugly.
I expected more from THT and The Bean power running, Our defense made a wall every time but still I'm not sure if our D is that good or Oline is that bad. it will be interesting to who starts Saturday, but Deuce is the best guard we have by not just a little you can see it every down.

Change you font size, and add paragraph breaks. This is unreadable.

How many points did the Whiners give up in the play offs?
Oh yeah, they weren't in the playoffs!

You went 2 & 0 against us - and were sitting on your knuckles in January, while we were playing, hosting and winning yet another post season game... I'll take that scenario every year for the next 20 years... :p

That was pretty much my take on the Red and White.

I think this DLine is gonna be special. And I am not as worried about the LB's as I was going in. What worries me is the Oline! They looked horrible to me in pass pro. If Lienart goes down I personally would like to see Hall in. Anderson did not look very comfortable to me at all. Lienart while he did not look great, he looked the part of a leader. He has a swagger again and he seems confident. While it has been noted he is pumping the ball, he still does not look paniced to me.

I also think the running game comes to life. TH and Beanie both look faster and stronger this year. And how about Larod!!! He looks like a man on a mission.

Whatever.... It's not like Boldin or Warner helped us last year. lol

Unfortunately for you, it is our year to win in the rotation.

2 rookies on the OL and a center with a broken leg should help you guys out great!

Classy. You have to resort to an injury on our team to feel better about yours?

Remember there's still 4 preseason games for everybody to play. We'll see how that goes. Either way, we are excited to play Matt Leinart.

Alex Smith did well playing only 10 games last year.

60.5% comp., 18 TDs, 12 ints, and only 1 fumble lost

I know it's only camp, but he's hitting everything right now and his confidence is through the roof. It's his first year under the same OC so he's moving along alot faster--basically, just continuing from last year instead of learning everything over again.

Whatever happened with that statement ??

Why are you back ??

False promises.. Like them saying they will regain dominance of 20 years ago.. They have Alex Smith as a QB for Gods sake.. What a loser.. Didnt the 49ers try to get Warner? Didnt the 49ers ask Alex to take a pay cut bcuz he sucked? haha.. Losers..

Actually, I think you're the slow one with the way you type. Let me try it,

Warner....helped...your...team...make...the...playoffs...by...beating up the rest of the NFC West and a few other teams in the NFL.
