60/40.

The coaches deserve blame, but I've witnessed 2 games now that most of the players refused to play. The players aren't without alot of fault.

30% Wiz
20% Davis
10% rest of staff
40% players
Which to me comes back to the coaching. Why is Fanaca still starting when he can't protect the passing game worth a damn? Why is Joey Porter starting when he hasn't done jack here and was totally embarrassed yesterday? Why was Leinart run out of town, yet DA was seen as a superior player? Why are players that are making stupid, ridiculous mistakes still making those same mistakes? Why is this team so soft and undisciplined? Why is Beanie not getting the ball, or Williams benched for being 2lbs overweight? Why is Hadnot not playing? Why is Keith still in there?

This team is in the same position now as it was when Dennis Green took over. That is a scary thought. Key positions are being filled with aging veterans who are past their prime and UDFA's. There still is no QB for this team and the RBOF we all coveted is apparently quickly becoming disgruntled as he watched from the sideline. Sure, some blame rides with the players, but I say no more than 20%. When you draft poorly, and sit on your ass during the FA period this is exactly what happens. Is it all Wiz? I don't know I have seen this same exact crap from this organization for the past 19 years.

40's right. I love sports as much as anybody but some of you need to get a grip. I dont mind educated opinions on why we suck.

But so many posters are caricatures of themselves, so much so that I could write their own posts before they do. And just incessant "Fire this guy", "cut this guy", "Were never going to be good again" is just plain boring to read and lacking any kind of perspective whatsoever.

I understand being negative about our prospects so far. Hell we have been blown out twice in four games and things need to change.

But this board can be such a microcosm of the knee jerk, I only remember what I saw last Sunday fanaticism that is so prevelant now, its hard to wade through all the crap to find the nugget or two of good insight.

Can some of us back away from the edge right now and realize we aren't going to fire our head coach, front office, and entire 53 man squad after every loss?

As bad as we are, I'm glad the guys getting paid to make these decisions are doing so, and those who aren't are relegated to fighting tooth and nail on a internet forum.

that could fetch some nice $ - ask DJ about his Blake jersey. Or his Tupa or McMahon.....

By the way you still owe me $100 bucks for that Steve Pisarkiewicz jersey you just had to have.

And no you can't have my autographed picture with Boomer.

I have seen this same exact crap from this organization for the past 19 years.

You know, I'm having a hell of a time believing the FO is completely to blame here. Micheal Bidwill is an ambitious and driven man and the last couple of years he has helped get the whole organization out of the cesspool. Why would he throw all that away? He's busted his butt to get here...just doesn't add up. imo he's too smart to make these enormous blunders we've seen this year.

I dunno, when they say it ain't about the money...it's about the money

That is an exaggeration. Most of the people have put up legitimate posts relating to what they want to know about what is wrong or why they think the Cards have regressed to 2003 levels or what they think needs to be done to right this sinking ship.

Sure they post fire the DC but in the majority of cases they give legitimate reasons as to why.

Its the Pollyannas who drive me nuts with their constant complaining about the complaining.

You should be complaining to the Cardinals instead of those on ASFN. All the Cards have to do to eliminate the negativity is stop getting hammered 41-10 every other week. :D

I think in the past holes were filled with UDFA's and aging vets because of money. Now I believe it is being doine out of necessity. I'm all for building through the draft and getting FA's to supplement the roster. Some teams do it well the Pats for instance but what happens when you get the wrong FA's and swing and miss year after year in the draft? I don't think nor buy that the Cards are cheap. Having good drafts are critical and the Cards have not had a good draft since 2004.

I agree & much of the blame goes to someone that many don't mention anymore, Rod Graves. He's running the football operation & I have often wondered why this guy was resigned.

you got that right. Every time I read one of Ducks posts about our failed draft picks, I just shake my head in disbelief

Hey 40! I haven't seen you (in person) in years. Keep the faith brother. It could be worse. Well, actually it couldn't, because we just plain blow. But other than that, it could be worse?

I miss Ye Ol' Sun Devil Days...the halftime meets...getting back to our seats late after the second half started because we were getting as plastered amongst ourselves, just chit-chatting, as the Cards were on the field...we few...we happy few...good times!

Me too. The best thing was that the old half time meets were right next to the beer stand (where they just happened to sell 16oz bottles of Cardinal Kool Aid). Then we let Pastor BIM set the meet and we're as far away from adult beverages as we could get. :D

The greatest line ever on ASFN came from Section 11 in talking about a halftime meet where he said he had introduced himself to Kooter for the 12th time.

Stupid BIM, and his anti-alcoholic ways...you'd think he was a Free Mason or something! Although, I must admit, it's nice to have at least one person in the group who could trash talk without slurred speech.

I too had a problem remembering a few posters in my inhebratated state (sorry DEI and LVG), sometimes it would take a mule kick to the head to finally get someone's name to sink in.

BTW, WTF ever happened to Lex?

Yep, you used to be able to drink, fight, and smoke all in one place without kicked out.
Now a days you're lucky just to be able to drink.
Koot is lucky to get in the stedium. :)

Good idea, Graves needs to be bashed for a while, he's been flying under the radar lately. I guess we have a target rich environment now so he is a forgotten man.

Lott might be the next target, he is culpable for not preparing the D to be on the field for 45 minutes a game and for letting Big Danny eat pizza after the game. :D

I liked Lex, he was a good guy. And I didn't know BIM was a free mason? Don't yet get like a cool robe or something with that gig?

Names were a problem for most of us especially actual names and not screen names. But Kooter, after 3-4 years of 8 halftime meets a year he still didn't remember ever having seen you before.

I know, and I have no idea why. Whenever I'd greet him, he'd have one of two looks on his face: ready to fight, or surprised that I knew him.

I just got used to it.

Funniest Kooter story was at UofP though...there were those boxes of towles, or team photos, or something like that by the meet area at the half. When we all started to go back to our seats, he just grabbed as much of it as he could with two hands.

He looked at me a said "Someday, this **** gonna be worth something!"

Ken I have a picture of your foot on my phone. Don't know the date.

wtf

~circa 2001 if I recall.

It was proof that a pair of red and white shoes, that didn't look like something MC hammer would wear, not only exsisted but were available to the general public. And, they matched my Cardinals jersey.

Man I was proud of those kicks.

LOL A perfect description. Used to talk to him a lot during the meets but the next home game he had no idea who I was. In fact I don't think he knew who he was.

Koot is one of a kind but if I am ever in trouble he is who I want standing beside me.

Koot with his mother at Tim's, KOC's, wake.
