The only new shows I am interested in this year are Boardwalk Empire and The Walking Dead. Everything else looks like crap. Am I missing any worthwhile? Don't need to watch so much tv anyways.

Yes, you're missing a lot that is worthwhile. But if you go into it thinking everything is crap at the beginning it's going to be near impossible for you to like anything else.

The only other show I'd add to that list is Terriers. This season looks very poor in terms of new shows.

Isn't there a thread on this topic already?

I've seen many of the pilots already and there are a few shows that are well worth the time to invest in.

I'm giving Boardwalk Empire, LOLA, Terriers, Outsourced, Walking Dead, Detroit 187, Blue Bloods, and The Event a shot this season. They'll be added to an already busy regular lineup for me.

Not to mention this summer the new shows I started were Covert Affairs and Rubicon.

Thank goodness for DVRs!!!

Mind telling which shows are worth watching? All the commercials make the new shows look terrible.

Heard about this one today. Was thinking about recording it to watch later this year. Still need to finish Flash Forward though.

I heard it was a bit like Lost.

The new Fall shows will have their work cut out for them to match the excellent summer slate of shows that started this year (Covert Affairs, Rookie Blue, The Gate, The Glades, Memphis Beat, Rizzoli & Isles, Haven and Rubicon).

I have several new ones that I plan to record such as Boardwalk Empire, Walking Dead, The Event, Chase, Hawaii 5-0, Detroit 1-8-7, No Ordinary Family, Undercovers, Defenders, Law & Order LA, Nikita, Blue Bloods, Outlaw and Body of Proof plus a couple of sitcoms (Mike & Molly etc). I bolded the ones I'm looking forward to the most. Hopefully a few of them will pan out.

Did I miss any of interest?

It didn't grab me but I didn't hate it either. Worth giving it a few more episodes IMO although it will probably go the way of the Bionic Woman remake.

Those are pretty good, although Blue Bloods was pretty cliched and mediocre, and I know someone mentioned Lone Star, which I thought was very hard to watch, I couldn't get into it, it was so boring.

My favorite pilot that I saw was No Ordinary Family, but I also liked Undercovers and Hawaii 5-0. Nikita was pretty good as well--Maggie Q kicking butt is always nice. Haven't seen the pilot, but I'm looking forward to The Event. And Chase wasn't THAT bad. The only pilots I really didn't like that much were Defenders and Detroit 1-8-7.

A few of the sitcoms were pretty funny. Mainly Mike & Molly, which is a great idea, and Running Wilde. Outsourced wasn't Community or Modern Family-good, but decent enough.

That really surprises me. Outscourced and Raising Hope are the two shows that seem (at least from the commercials) like awful, awful shows. Nothing in either preview even made me chuckle.

I left out Lone Star and The Whole Truth as neither seem my kind of show but as you can see, I'm pretty easy to please. I'm surprised you didn't like Defenders as that's one of the shows that seems to be drawing favorable comments.

Mike and Molly interest me mostly because it's a Chuck show and I'm a huge fan of Big Bang Theory. I really want the Event to be good but I suspect it will "mystery" us into frustration and boredom. I'll have to check out Running Wilde, at first blush it didn't seem like it would work for me.

I am gonna give Hawaii 5-0 a go. I'll also likely get sucked into The Event.

Mike and Molly might be entertaining.

Am slightly ashamed to admit I will be watching Survivor since Jimmy Johnson is on, and Dancing with the Stars since Kurt is on.

Actually forgot about Raising Hope--which wasn't that bad either. It's essentially the My Name Is Earl replacement this year.

There is something about My Generation that bugs me. It may be the fake documentary thing. I don't know. I'll give it a shot but it doesn't seem like something that interests me.

Watched Running Wilde and Raising Hope on hulu tonight. Running Wilde was meh, no real laugh out loud moments. I like Will Arnett, but all I see when I look at him is his gay character on 30 rock. I will give it a chance though.

Raising Hope was surprisingly funny. I will definitely stick with that for a while.

I plan to watch The Event, Mike and Molly, Outsourced and maybe Chase once they're out on hulu.

I really want a new show to get into since Lost is now over with.

Chase is pretty boring and to me, The Event reminded me of Flashforward, which is scary.

As far as a Lost replacement, I'm afraid there isn't going to be one. Just sticking with some of the returning shows like Chuck, Bones, Castle and Supernatural should be a good substitute for Lost.

Just finished up The Event. Another meh... I like Laura Innes and Blair Underwood. I can't believe how old Scott Patterson (aka Luke from Gilmore Girls) looks! I will probably tune in for a few shows because I am determined to find a new show that I like.

Aliens? Alternative universe?

I just watched Undercovers and found it interesting. I'm a sucker for this kind of show though so take it for what it's worth.

Lone Star was odd.... I have always loved the dual identity stuff (Dexter, Batman, etc) so I gave it a shot.

Voight (sp?) was great. But the lead guy has this weird smirk that seems to rub me the wrong way.

The show got better after the first 30 minutes.... But, it might be a quick delete from my season pass.

I didn't really care for it but, to be fair, it's not really my kind of show.

I'm getting sick and tired how all these shows are now being done in documentary format. It's annoying as hell. I started to watch the Generation or whatever it is on ABC and it got so annoying I turned it off after 20 minutes.

Docu-style or not, My Generation is one of the worst new shows of the season. Same can be said for %#*@ My Dad Says. Just awful, awful stuff.
