You keep bringing up the contract that the previous regime provided for him. He signed on the dotted lines. Doesn’t mean he’s worth that amount. It’s the amount the franchise is paying him, but to hold his play to that amount is an indictment to the previous GM more so than him IMO.

It's interesting because the draft lines up much better with offense and that unit looks a lot closer. Tough to see a draft patch where they don't draft two WRs.

There were plenty of games where the defense did good enough to win. Those games our offense was typically pathetic

Hate to break it to you, he's not being evaluated to see if he's the guy, he's the guy. Unless he takes a dump in Mike B's office on the floor, he's your QB next year and probably the following. No matter how the rest of this season pans out

That's a good idea. It also doesn't mean that both things can't be true as well..

Scripted 1st series so he has the practice and reps. Then after that he just struggles mightily.

It’s really not. It’s more of a comment on the reality that if he can’t come close to matching the play that contract is worth, you have to move on because that contract kills the cap and the ability to get better.
